"This is coming from someone who has tried Twidroyd Pro (now Ubersocial), Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, Seesmic, Plume (paid version) and Twicca. I missed features that I had previously had with Twidroyd and begged Seesmic to catch up with a few easy to implement changes. I believe the company was in the midst of being bought or partnering or some such thing and their focus was certainly not their Android app. I missed a few features from Seesmic, but unlike the other apps, Tweetcaster released updates fairly frequently that actually added real functionality. They addressed a number of the things I missed and now it is a client I would've easily chosen over the ones I previously tried b/c it combines MOST of the best features of the other apps. It has multiple account support (though you cannot view posts from various accounts in a single combined feed), posting of tweets to facebook and twitter simultaneously, saves hashtags and twitter names which are suggested at the bottom of the current tweet upon entering an @ or #, it has on-screen "#" and "@" buttons for easy access (that is a huge feature for me) and it lets me hide ("zip") tweets from people I'm following without blocking them (aka they don't know I'm not listening to their incessant blathering, so they remain un-offended). Obviously the biggest feature that is missing from this (and every twitter app besides the official one and the unreleased Issimo) is push notifications. I'm sure there are further problems, but the fact remains that this is the best twitter app available to Android presently unless you need deeper Facebook integration or interfacing with other services not offered by Tweetcaster. Although there is access to Issimo currently, it's quite expensive (too rich for my blood) at the $10 or $20 mark by joining @britishturbo 's forum as a VIP."

It took me less than a minute to figure out my way around the app and set it up with my personal Bit.ly key and other services, something you can't do in competitors despite their burgeoning feature list. It's a pleasure to see my timeline compiled into little cards and spread across the screen with minimal fanfare but with subtle animations and other touches."
