Find Best Price at Amazon"Due to a small design flaw, I would give this kit 4 stars if considering it an on-the-go kit, but I would still give it 5 stars when considering it a traveler's kit. The small leather case seems good in quality. The needle case's lid turns like a dial, allowing the user to move a tiny opening to the front of whichever compartment he/she wants to take a needle from (Figure 4). Since it takes a moment of effort to remove items from the case, this kit would not be ideal for someone in a hurry, which is why I give it 4 stars as an emergency sewing kit. However, when judging it as a traveler's kit, I give it 5 stars because of the overall quality and compact size."

Simply attach each needle tip by turning and screwing on the desired cable length to create your perfect needle (the sizing of the Knit Picks interchangeable cables refer to the total length achieved when the needles tips are attached to the cables). "In circular knitting I use the correct size for gauge on the right or active needle and a couple of sizes smaller on the left or passive needle. This makes the stitches flow back onto the passive needle easily and makes for faster knitting, especially with decreases where you need to knit into two or more stitches. With a different colored needle in each hand I can tell instantly which direction I should knit (in the round). With a needle that contrasts the color of the yarn on the passive side, it's easier to see the stitches as you're knitting. If you purl tighter then you knit on flats, you can put a larger needle on the active purl side to get a really even knit."
