Now, run a length of chain store thread through your fingertips and notice the lumps . However, because it's so fine, if stitching garments, it's certainly strong enough to hold seams together, but it's more difficult to pull gathers . .because it's finer (though just as strong) than most other threads, more can be wound on the bobbin. I especially notice this difference when using my smaller machine with standard size bobbins."
