I was able to make it fit by relocating the wiring harnesses and removing the handles from the batteries, but the tray should have been made a half inch wider or it should be sold as "size Optima" rather than "size 34". Second issue, and again why I nearly returned the batteries and bought Optima is that the posts for the Optima are located more inward. I wouldn't count any of my issues against the Genesis if they just said, "use Optima batteries" but the FAQ specifically say that any size 34 battery will work."
