However, using this key will have the whole key fob sticking straight out from the ignition for 3 1/2" unless you can remove your key after starting (the Nomad can). There's a button for arming, disarming, remote starting, and the remote without the key has an additional button that is called the "searching key" for finding your vehicle in a parking lot. The kit comes supplied with more double sided tape to attach it, but I used some Velcro so I could detach it when I needed to remove the battery cover. There is a 9 volt battery attachment that isn't shown on the instructions. There are wires galore! The wiring instructions are nothing but a small diagram. For wiring the basic alarm you simply hook up the red and black wire to positive and negative on your bike's battery. Simple enough, but the wires aren't individually marked and you have to search the diagram on the sheet to even know this. All the other wires, and there are plenty, also aren't individually marked and there will be some guesswork involved if following the diagram. Suggested improvements would be to have the individual wires marked with a tab indicating their use, and written instructions for hooking up the wires in addition to the diagram. Be sure to physically attach the siren with screws or the like using the two holes on the siren mount, and/or mount it in a location where it won't fall off should the tape detach."
"The most time consuming thing about the install is the disassembly of your motorcycle and the careful placing of the wires (I like to do a good job, lasts longer if you don't throw it together.). I only hooked up the alarm, it is so sensitive to anyone touching the bike, but not standing around it.
