The push button assembly was slightly different than the original with more squared edges and non matching mounting holes. You have to really jam the bolts in (keeping square with the hole) and use an open ended wrench to turn them. I may end up putting my old gear on the new starter since it engaged the flywheel more smoothly."

Of course the manufacturer prefers lesser pleats because that means less material so less cost. Despite the lesser pleats, this filter is pretty thick due to the carbon and baking soda. That's sort of a big deal since that means these filters are not a complete seal as air will flow through the hole of least resistance. The number of pleats is slightly important to me but it isn't enough to deter me to purchase a more expensive filter. I suggest you buy this filter due to the pretty awesome price of $9."

The product does work and it does fit with some modifications if you want to regain the fifth bolt anchor point, but life is just much easier with the AC Delco instead."

[see pics for right and wrong orientations; pix are from a '95 Saab 9000 Aero] If you prefer a longer, brass adapter for the Suburban, there is one available: Fumoto Valve Adapter ADP-107 (12mm-1.75) The Quik Valve folks are aware of potential issues with low ground clearance, especially if you're off-roading or four wheeling, so they do sell a clip that provides an extra measure of 'lock' on the tab to keep it from pivoting open if you snag a branch, etc. You simply reach the small locking tab, pivot it up slightly, then rotate it toward the drain port [approx 90 degrees] and the oil will flow. This is not a factor with the QuikValve fitting: when you rotate the tab, the brass and stainless steel sleeve pivots [looks like it's inside a nylon bushing] to open a good sized hole, approx 5/16"."

Find Best Price at Amazon"This is important because the higher number of pleats means that it filters more air. Of course the manufacturer prefers lesser pleats because that means less material so less cost. Despite the lesser pleats, this filter is pretty thick due to the carbon and baking soda. That's sort of a big deal since that means these filters are not a complete seal as air will flow through the hole of least resistance. The number of pleats is slightly important to me but it isn't enough to deter me to purchase a more expensive filter. I suggest you buy this filter due to the pretty awesome price of $9."
