Find Best Price at Amazon"One of the two units did have a minor issue with the laser being slightly off center but I removed the top rubber-like surround to the temperature reading head, opened the case, repositioned the laser to point toward the correct orientation, used hot glue to lock the laser base down, closed the case back up, and the laser pointed to the correct point. As mentioned in other reviews, the Raytek MT6 unit appears to be the same as the Fluke 62 Mini Infrared Thermometer except the Fluke color is yellow instead of Raytek black. The Raytek instructions are targeted more towards the home or mechanic user with examples of looking at engine temperatures or heat / air conditioning vents versus the Fluke instructions showing more industrial applications being looked at for temperatures."
"I've used this thermometer for cooking (it won't measure inside temperature, but it will measure surface temperature) and examining the heating in my house. I've also used it for answering many other little questions that didn't seem very important before but when you have the ability to actually answer them by pointing a gun at it and pulling the trigger it's hard to resist."
"You can hear the battery rattle in the handle when you lightly shake or rotate the unit to get a good reading and this can (and does) cause the battery to separate from the contacts and the unit to lose power. The foam was only 1/16" of an inch, maybe 3/32, but that was sufficient to take up some of the space in the battery compartment and force the battery against the contacts."
"I do not know if it or the other thermometers I tested it against were off, but their comparatively closeness of readings suggests it would be adequate for all but the most demanding uses, and may eve be adequate for those. An IR thermometer has many uses. I bought this as a homeowner to verify hot/cold spots around my home. I decided I would go with Etekcity Line IR thermometer based on Amazon Best seller Etekcity 774 (best seller most reviewed and priced very affordable at $16.88). After researching other Etekcity models I found many different options that offered different ranges, features, and spot/distance ratios up to 16:1 with 12:1 being the higher standard and what most higher end brands have.. spot/distance ratios range from 8:1 to 16:1 in this class of IR tool. I submitted a question to them through Amazon and Etekcity responded within the same day offering to call me , as I had a lot of questions..I was able to immediately open a chat conversation with Etekcity customer reps and they were VERY helpful in explaining to me the advantages / differences in all of their IR thermometers. After a disappointing test of the Etekcity 1022D I read reviews and decided to look at the 800, It features better accuracy at range with a 16:1 distance spot ration. *** Etekcity 630 Dual Lasergrip - $29.99 Etekcity Lasergrip 630 Dual Laser Non-contact Digital Infrared Thermometer, Gray and Black. First impression was how it was packaged in a nice solid cardboard box ( unlike the plastic blister packs of the others including the Klein. The most features, options and in my tests most accurate ( accuracy is negligible between 800 & 630 both are well with in the +/- .5 to 2.0 tolerance). Features: Dual laser for better accuracy. 16:1 Distance to Spot Ratio. Emissivity: ADJUSTABLE. Range: -58℉~1076℉. Multi function menu options ( MAX/Min temp setting, AVG and Diff/ TD). I chose the 630 over the 800 mainly due to the extra menu options ( AVG, MAX, MIn , Diff) adjustable emissivity ,and dual laser aside form that the 800 & 630 perform identically. the 1022D and 774 are priced well at under $20.00 but for more features and higher specs I think one will not go wrong with the Etekcity 800 or Feature rich Etekcity 630."

"To eliminate the spark plug as the problem as their website implies, I used my old Actron timing light from 1993 (doesn't have the timing degrees or rpm) which works like a champ. I also picked up a Harbor Freight Xenon Timing Light this holiday season which includes timing degree adjustment and it also works fine with my ignition. I then tried the Harbor Freight harness with the 3568 timing light and for about 15 seconds it was working, but then the flashing went erratic. For example the Craftsman Digital timing light controls and wire harness is a dead ringer for the Actron digital timing light and the Matco timing light looks like a dead ringer of the Innova 5568."
