Best Oil Funnels

Lisle 24680 Spill-Free Funnel
The spill-free funnel has been improved by adding an extra 45 degree elbow, a 5 inch extension, and a new E-adapter. The spill-free funnel eliminates trapped air pockets which usually cause erratic cooling system and heater performance.
Reviews
"My 350z has a closed coolant system not like my older GM vehicles where just leaving the radiator cap open would burp the air out. of the cooling system. How to do it: From all my reading the best way to tackle this issue is to attach the funnel to your radiator cap opening while cold and fill the funnel about 1/4 up so when system burps fluid falls into they system rather than more air. Once car is cooled down follow the instructions on how to remove the funnel. and close your radiator, by this point 95-100% of the air is out of the system."
"During cooling system bleeding, the funnel serves as a reservoir for additional coolant that drains into the radiator as trapped air escapes. Anyone with a modicum of ingenuity and mechanical aptitude should be able to fabricate a custom adapter from a spare radiator cap and miscellaneous parts purchased from the plumbing department of Home Depot!"
"I don't know how I would've done a three-time coolant flush so easily (and mess free) without this thing!"
"Saw one of my co workers had something similar to this but his lacked a lot of the adapters that this one comes with and I have to say this little kit makes life a lot easier especially with the plug and i like that it comes with a top lid for storing all the adapters after the bag is torn open."
"I wish I had purchased this a long time ago."
"This made refilling the coolant a totally mess-free process and insured I had completely removed all the air bubbles from my cooling system. This is especially important with our newer lean-burning engines that have very thin cooling jackets in the engine and must have adequate coolant flow without air pockets to be effective."
"And any remaining coolant is held in the funnel when the stopper is put into place."

"I recently performed a coolant flush on my FJ Cruiser, and through the process of burping/filling the radiator, I probably managed to lose a 1/4-1/2 gallon of coolant. I think I managed to lose 5 drops of coolant transferring the funnel from the radiator to the overflow tank, and that was probably just what was on the outside of the funnel neck."
"The only tough part was pulling off the reservoir when I was done and not having the some fluid spillover that was left in the tip of the funnel between the plug and the radiator connector."
"Only downside was there was no cheat sheet for which caps should go with most makes, but no big deal."
"The kit made "burping" the coolant after a flush very simple and kept the mess to a minimum."
"Product was perfect and just what I needed for the job!"
"On certain radiators (like my S-10), the adapter blocks off the tube to the overflow tank, which makes it really difficult to remove without making a mess and/or burning your hand if you've been using it for burping the air out of the coolant system."
"This is a must have tool for any shadetree mechanic."
"with the included lid, all the components store inside so nothing gets lost."

"I recommend anyone that suspects air in the coolant system should use this product."
"Perfect for Subarus."
"I am anticipating this set being to my liking."
"If you have the tell-tale signs of air in the coolant system (which is usually a fluctuating temperature gauge or high temperature readings), you probably have some air mixed in with the coolant. Since the air will have a tendency to "float" to the highest point in the cooling system, the filled-up funnel serves as the new "high point" making it easier to evacuate air from the system."
"Very handy for bleeding air out of the cooling system on vehicles."
"works like a freaking charm on my 08 WRX, but for some reason didn't work as well (didn't seal completely) on my friends 2011 WRX, not sure if it was his radiator cap specifically or if they changed the dimensions between these years."
"Then you simply stick the plunger into the funnel to seal it, remove it from the radiator, and drain the extra coolant it back into the jug without spilling a drop!"
"You just fill the radiator, preferably when it is cold, but if you have to do it hot, be very careful because the chance of getting burned is very high, and let the funnel fill to 1/4-1/2 full- let your engine run, and turn on the heat inside, until it is at operating temperature and the thermostat has opened* and the cooling fans come on. There is one thing you should know, sometimes the funnel comes off hard so this is why it is wise to keep the amount of coolant in the funnel low. Some coolant will spill when you remove the adapters(except for the black spin on one unless you overfilled) but it is a small fraction of what would spill without using this funnel. Once the engine is warm, feel the hoses(take caution not to touch the engine or exhaust manifold as well as watching out for the fans as some cars have very little room.). You will feel the thermostat open from a series of air bubbles going through the hose(get a feel for this because if the feel of it is not normal, it could be signaling a problem with your thermostat.)."

"Only gripe is that the included hoses were a bit short to get all the way down the transmission dipstick tube , had to hold the whole pump above the fender and pump it."
"I haven't used it to change motor oil yet and probably won't since I have to crawl under the cars to change the oil filters anyway. For that reason, I'll use it to change automatic tranny fluid when needed and motor oil in my lawn equipment."
"The tubes come with seperate adapters that are each FOR THAT TUBE, MIXING TUBES AND TUBE ADAPTERS WILL RESULT IN POOR SUCTION. I used it 3 times so far, one for a TDi engine oil change, a Lincoln oil change, and a lawn mower oil change. Only thing that sucks is the price at $70, but I believe it can last for a very long time without problems. Biggest thing for me is I dont need to jack my car up to get to the oil pan, but for cars that have filters underneath and NEED to be jacked, It gets rid of having oil splash all over you and minimize cleaning. Tips. -For oil, make sure the oil is warm or somewhat hot, but NOT AT FULL OPERATING TEMP. -Make sure the tube adapter is dry and not wet at all, it helps with the seal. - Pour out fluid into a different container each time you do a fluid change, you dont want dirt and grime to sit in the Mityvac. -Pump at a continuous rate, I find that a full pump every 2 seconds is good enough to keep a good flow going. -Clean adapters and hoses after each use, fluid will get stuck and be a pain later on. remove the tube, place it vertically so that the fluid will drip out into a container, it may take some time but it does the trick. -The tube adapter goes into "2nd adapter", you can pull it out with pliers and make pouring easier. P.S."
"As it is you have to hold the hose in the tank you are looking to empty and pump it at the same time. They do flex but you have to hold them in place if put them in any bend different then how they come packaged."
"If they are going to make the cars so you need a speacialty tool to change the oil, get creative."

Best Oil Lube Systems

Reviews
"It's larger than those cheap plastic ones that screw on quart bottles and pumps more fluid."
"Ended up using this to pump out any residual tranny fluid while the pan was dropped (just pumped air in to speed up the draining process) and then used the pump to refill the tranny, and again to fill the tranny while the old fluid pumped out of the tranny cooler (13 qts overall, no leaks). Really I am astonished that this only costs ~$10, anyone looking at other pumps on Amazon should know there is another black pump like this one that I almost chose due to it boating a dual seal plunger, maybe check it out, but at the end of the day I can only say that this one performs better than I expected and is garuanteed to work as advertised."
"Once the old oil had drained, I place the new oil on the measuring container (I needed to measure because I bought the large oil container versus multiple quart containers) and I used the Gun about 5 times to transfer the 3 quarts."
"The one thing I would point out is you may find it necessary to separately purchase a small length (8"-12") of smaller diameter tubing and a coupling."
"That makes it hard to get into places like my transmission and differential in order to remove old oil."
"Used this to fill the rear differential fluid on my 2003 JDM Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon."
"I bought this to service a truck rear end with 90 weight oil."
"With the heavier lubes, it's still a bit of a strain to pump into the gear box's but just a steady bit of pressure on both the suction as well as the filling,, this baby works perfectly and is so much better then putting a tube on the grease packaging and trying to get it into the gear box without making a mess and taking all day to squeeze it in there."

Best Gas Cans

Gas Spout - Replacement Spout And Cap For Pre 2009 Gas Cans And Water Jugs (White Set or Black Set)
EZ-Pour replacement spout for gas cans manufactured prior to January 1, 2009.
Reviews
"It's an efficient solution to sealing the spout, but it means that no matter what you do, tightening the cap causes the cap to grab the top side of the gasket and twist it sideways, which will apply full torque to the gasket rather than to the spout, and the gasket is simply not designed for that type of lateral stress, let alone with the intensity that can be produced from tightening a gas can cap. I think all that would be required to fix this design flaw is to make the flange larger and thicker and use a simple gasket that only seals the bottom side of the flange (the part that seals against the can's spout), or include a Teflon washer that fits between the cap and the top side of the gasket, allowing the cap to turn without grabbing the gasket and tearing it--after all, there's no reason to seal the top side of the spout's flange since the bottom is the only side that creates the seal."
"Due to environmental regulations, gas cans with a vent are no longer legal to be sold, and this definitely affects how they pour. Modern gas cans are supposed to come with a "single, self venting opening for filling and pouring," but I find that they do not work well."
"I ordered this product for use on some old double handled gas cans, they fit, no leaks, and the caps stay on,."
"I purchased four total and fixed 6-7 gas cans from various manufacturers with various problems including missing vents, caps, terrible spouts, and the like."
"I used one of one thread type; the other of the other thread type; the smaller caps worked well, as did the vented on, for one of my cans; now I can use both new cans I bought, plus the two, on which I used these, to have two gas for my mowers, and 2 fuel mix cans for my trimmers/whackers."
"I cannot begin to tell you how many gallons of gas we have spilled using the new style gas can spouts."
"Note the Blitz Can took the black collar but on the Wedco can, neither collar was a perfect fir... but the existing collar was fine and the spout worked great."

"there's not much room in the pump compartment for the hose and the pump to fit and still get to the fill cap. the ventilation plug is too low and fuel spills out when the fuel sloshes around in the tank."
