From the MSDS (material safety data sheet) Happy Campers consists of Zinc salts and unnamed minerals. Each time after I dump my tanks, I take a common 5 gallon bucket and fill almost full with water. The dishwashing liquid and Calgon keeps the tank walls slick and sensors clean and reading properly. Mix the Happy Camper in the bowl with water and flush and your ready to go! Happy Campers product truly does virtually liquefy all solid waste and toilet tissue. This simple method that I'm writing has worked perfectly for myself and many many others that I known and is not just a wishful thinking type deal... I try to get mine s full as possible by adding pure old tap water if necessary before dumping."

Just updating my experience and evaluation of this Camco product. Upon hearing of the release of the new design 41545 Amazon kindly referred me to E-Trailer in St. Louis and in a couple of days was on my door step. Most important the bowl is shaped better and much deeper and keeps the family-jewels safe and clean (thanks) also the flushing is vastly improved by the tri- directional jets and lever."
"My kids made fun of me, 'Oh mom, what's the matter, can't walk to the restrooms at the campsite?'... No, I do not want to walk through the trees in the complete dark to the restrooms. On the suggestion of a friend, I dropped one of the little waste dissolving pouches into the bottom with a large cup of water to 'get it started' & not have the 'first use' get stuck to the bottom so-to-speak. Of course, if you're buying for your child, don't mind squatting or to fit the toilet into a smaller storage space, then get the 2.6 gallon. Another good idea is to use a liquid deodorant in the top (Fresh water) tank (not the gel pack as it might clog it) for a fresher bowl smell and cleaning. The main differences are the STANDARD has (reportedly finicky) latches on the sides, a pour OPENING in the back, a square shape, a flush pull on the front and a SINGLE spray rinse nozzle. Camco 41541 Portable Toilet - 5.3 gallon. The Premium has a spring loaded latch in the back (which you pull to unlatch and then tip forward to separate), an pour SPOUT that SWIVELS (like the Thetford), a rounded front, a flush pull on the side, and THREE spray rinse nozzles. It's been great when you don't want to deal with a cloud of mosquitos at the public restroom or when my wife doesn't want to hike 1/4 mile in the dead of night."

If you have to wheel this up into a truck for any reason it is going to be really heavy, full this will be 359 lbs in liquid alone, so get ramps.
