"My kids (11 & 12) were able to use this to lift 5 gallon buckets of wet sloppy clay out of a 5 foot deep trench that had caved in. There is a flaw in the way the back pulley is attached. Either there is too little or too much space because if you don't keep your hand on the cable guiding it onto the pulley while you take up the slack, the cable jumps the pulley and jams itself between the bracket and pulley with no way of getting it out except for taking the unit apart. I am going to take the stabilizing leg off and replace it with a trailer tongue jack so it always touches the ground when I start cranking and two, once I put weight in the back of the truck and the truck "settles" the leg is stuck in place because the truck is resting on it."
