"LOL I had to do something LOL. After spending some time browsing different products, I decided on this (DC Fix 3460276 Pearl Self-Adhesive Window Film) as well as bought some frosted glass spray. First make sure you have a measure tape, pencil, razor blade, and a squeegee ( I found a bathroom type squeegee at rite aid for $1.99 that worked perfect for this project!). If you make a mistake or have too many bubbles, this product will hold up for you to remove and start over. I noticed it worked well when I did that and once it was applied I just went back over it with a razor blade for a clean edge. Now I am going to have to scrap my upstairs window from using the cheap frost spray and buy more of this beautiful product for up there LOL."
"I bought this film to cover the first floor windows of my mother's assisted living apartment that looked out onto a parking lot. This still lets lots of light through the window, but you can't see any of the parking lot from the inside, and nothing of the apartment from the outside (even at night)."

After the film was applied, I went outside and looked in... 100% satisfied with the look of the film from the outside AND the fact that you could no longer see into my living room from the front porch. Find Best Price at Amazon"So, here are my tips to help other users: First, I discovered cutting this stuff to size and "trimming away the excess" with a razor blade or equivalent was not productive. Third, I got better results and accuracy by carefully making a paper "template" for each clean, dry glass pane (I have an old house and door, therefore some paint caulk buildup in window corners meant custom cutting). Rather than take it off the glass entirely, I slightly and gently peeled the wet edge away whenever I had to make "corrections" where, in spite of my best effort, there remained some "excess.""
"The photos of this product show some interior office windows with a broad strip of film on them. I feel that the photo is a little misleading as the product appears to be a white sheet of paper from the outside, and much more opaque than the office photo is. The reason for this purchase was to make it difficult for my two dogs to see out the bay window (they would stand on the back of the couch / in the window and bark at passers-by)."
