Find Best Price at Amazon"I think they are great for some one just getting starting with using essential oils or some one who just likes to stock up. I won't go into what each oil is good for because Radha Beauty includes a nice little sheet with lots of information on each. Since these tests aren't fool proof or 100% accurate, I always take the results with a grain of salt. Since the paper test only tells part of the story, you want to check some other things as well. For example, if you put a drop of the essential oil between your fingers, it shouldn't “feel” greasy. When smelling essential oils you shouldn't be overwhelmed and it shouldn't make you feel sick or fell like you are getting a headache. But like I mentioned, the paper test doesnt work for all essential oils. Lemongrass can also take longer to evaporate because it contains high levels of esters and aldehydes. It has the calming scent and if you inhale deeply you can almost smell a hint of lemon. Perfect for a beginner and great to have on hand for anyone looking to reap the benefits of essential oils. "They smell great with only a few drops in the diffuser and I suppose help us sleep. I got my big jar of coconut oil (the kind that looks like Crisco) that I have in the kitchen and put a tablespoon or so in a glass then dropped about 10 drops of peppermint (pain relief), 10 drops of lemongrass (tendon and ligament repair), and 5 drops of lavender (calming and pain relief) and massaged it in for about 5 minutes."

After reading previous reviews on this product, however, I would like to say the following: In my opinion, they will be more than adequate and effective for use in a aromatherapy diffuser, cool mist humidifier. I feel they work very well and a reasonable time after plunging in my unit, can enjoy the calming aroma which begins to fill the room quite nicely (an open concept modest -sized combo living room/dining/kitchen in an apartment. Although it was neatly and attractively packaged and came swathed in bubble wrap; although the perforated safety seal/rims (at the base of the caps) were all still intact (meaning the bottles were unopened) - some of the caps were nevertheless not screwed on completely tight (from the assembly line during manufacturing/filling of the bottles). Although I did not feel wetness or see signs of leaking - one bottle was not as completely filled as the others were, and the scent of the oil blend was very noticeable - very strong! PROS. Reasonably priced. Pleasing scent combinations. Adequately and attractively packaged. Works well with my small sized aroma therapy diffuser. CONS. All the bottle caps were not screwed on tightly; the scent of the oils was very strong after removing the layers of bubble wrap, even before opening the box lid. My favorite is the nighttime one (heaven in a bottle, and I set the diffuser bedside to enjoy through the night! Just 3 or 4 or so drops fills the surrounding air with therapeutic scent that enhances a relaxed, calm atmosphere."

I've been working with aromatherapy, as a self-health hobby and as a Traditional Naturopath, for over 20 years. Clove, lemon, eucalyptus, cinnamon, and rosemary--even at the highest therapeutic grade--are not known to be costly oils. I decided to make my own because I felt that spending roughly $30 to $40 for 15 ml of relatively inexpensive constituent oils was not justifiable. To justify such high prices (especially when many MLM companies promote that their products are LESS expensive because the "middle man" is cut out of the distribution process) they generally have to resort to making extraordinary claims about their products in order to justify the cost being high relatively to everything else on the market. Looking at the background of Young himself indicates to me he may have some personal integrity issues, and this may be reflected in his company practices. One that especially concerns me is that apparently his literature promoted the idea of doing extractions at 0 psi (no pressure) for better quality oil. Of course Young Living will have their own side to this story, but it raises big question marks for me. Whilst I am not a big supporter of the quackwatch.org site (and the people behind it) and I most certainly do NOT agree with the MOST of their worldview, I will say they have turned up some interesting and insightful info about the history of Gary Young (just search Google for "young essential oils quackwatch" without the quotation marks). The two most typical recipes I found online, and confirmed from numerous aromatherapy resources are: 1) Simply use equal parts of each oil. Here are the Latin names of the oils most commonly used (as found in Young Living Thieves oil): clove (syzygium aromaticum), lemon (Citrus limon), cinnamon bark (Cinnamonum verum), eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata), rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis). >> WANT IT READY-MADE, FOR LESS ? An alternative to making you own, but still at a great price, is to buy from Plant Therapy Essential Oils. They have an excellent "Thieve's" formula product - Germ Fighter Synergy Essential Oil Blend. I had quite a lot of email dialogue with the owner to sound him out about his products and to ask him his opinion about oil species variations in the Thieves recipe. I am sure you won't be disappointed, so long as you don't mind putting to rest all the marketing hype from Young Living Oils. >> IMPORTANT:: OIL STORAGE <<. If you make your own blend, be sure NOT to put it into a bottle that has a glass dropper and red rubber bulb. Even the more hardy black rubber bulbs will dissolve over time with Thieve's oil exposure. You might find a supplier online by searching for "white rubber dropper bottle essential oils" (without the quotation marks). If you can't find the chemical resistent bulbs, go for the "euro" style droppers. Storing them in a refrigerator will help them to maintain their therapeutic qualities for a LOT longer. Some oils actually break down to form toxic compounds and mild irritants in as little as six months at room temperature."

I am interested in people like me who have spent their money and bought a product who want to give a review. It locks so that the oil doesn't spill, so you can't just twist it on and off like a water bottle cap. If you press the "on" button once the diffuser will run for about 30 seconds, shut off and then automatically turn back on. It is just a small red or green button depending on the mist setting so if you need complete darkness to sleep it may be a problem. I have one diffuser for the main area in the house and now a second one for the bedroom."

Green light, it'll diffuse on for about 30 seconds and then stop for about the same amount of time and alternate until it runs out of water or you shut it off. I even have to put a small decorative piece in front of the unit because that light that shows you it's on will keep me up. Lastly, one of my favorite things about it is that it's so quiet, you hardly know it's running other than seeing the mist and a very, very slight sound."
