The Legend of Zelda Box Set
A boy named Link sets out on a quest to deliver the Emerald, the spiritual stone of the forest, to Zelda, Princess of the land of Hyrule. Together they have created nine manga adventures featuring Link and the popular video game world of The Legend of Zelda , including Ocarina of Time , Oracle of Seasons and Four Swords .
Reviews
"This is a great box set."
"The ONLY reason I'm giving this product 4 stars is because the box case came slightly damaged (crinkled edge and small rip in seam) But this may have more to do with the process of shipping and the delivery man than the seller."
"The box is as flimsy as other reviews stated, but I didn’t get it for the box."
"Your average manga is priced around $13 per book, in this youre getting 10 our of the 11 LoZ manga (if youre counting the one in the back of Hyrule Historia) plus the box that it comes in for $50."
"My daughter who loves legend of Zelda breezed through this set."
"For example, in The Ocarina of Time, when Link saves the Goron people from the dragon Volvagia, rather than fighting him after exploring a dungeon, he fights him almost immediately. One thing I just love about these novels is that Link has his own dialogue and personality."
"Beautiful manga, my daughter love it."
"Worth the price a must buy no complains and great collection item."

The City of Ember
In the spring 2003, kids, parents, teachers, librarians—whole communities—discovered and fell in love with Jeanne DuPrau's story about a doomed city, and the two children who found a way out. Lina's wonder and Doon's frustration are easily visible through Asker's skill in detailing facial expressions, helping to visually elevate a story literally besieged by shadows. Booklist , October 15, 2012: "The city of Ember, the only light in a vast world of darkness, is dying and two young teens might be the only ones who can find the way out of their darkening town--if they can escape the machinations of a corrupt mayor. Asker's penumbral scenes underground and broad, grassy Eden above are strongly atmospheric and depict both settings and the clearly delineated cast (particularly the grossly corpulent Mayor) in tellingly crisp detail."
Reviews
"The whole series, starting with this book, is a wonderful read."
"I love the way life in Ember is shown through the experience of two children who gradually come to see the problems of their city."
"Pros: Good storyline. Characters were well-developed. Fast-paced. Cons: Predictable. Not much emotional tension. Other thoughts: I would recommend this book to a younger audience. This book is a easy read, and will capture your attention if you enjoy most adventure stories."
"There quest is to try to uncover the secrets of ember with partially eaten instructions."
"The ending was a little random but overall it's a good east book to read and finish it was very intriguing I want the rest of the series!"
"Reader is very lively and does different voices for the characters."
"I believe this book emerged before the recent trend of dystopian fiction that has flooded the shelves, and it is certainly one of the best that I have read."
"Super fast shipping and good quality!"

A is for Activist
The alliteration, rhyming, and vibrant illustrations make the book exciting for children, while the issues it brings up resonate with their parents' values of community, equality, and justice. -- Julia Alvarez , author of A Wedding in Haiti: the Story of a Friendship and How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents , and founding member of Border of Lights, an ongoing movement to promote peace and collaboration between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, borderoflights.org. “Reading it is almost like reading Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States, but for two-year olds—full of pictures and rhymes and a little cat to find on every page that will delight the curious toddler and parents alike.” —Occupy Wall Street. —Naomi Klein and Avi Lewis, author of The Shock Doctrine / filmmaker. —Rona Renner, RN, parent educator, and host of Childhood Matters radio show "A is for Activist speaks to the possibilities of change, of proactive parenting, of creating community, and of celebrating our collective histories.
Reviews
"The "S" page has a great little poem celebrating solar power, but follows it up with "silly selfish scoundrels sucking on dinosaur sludge? ", a line I could easily imagine leading to a rather upsetting conversation for a sensitive preschooler, since right now the vast majority of families simply don't have access to fully sustainable power sources. The "D" page references, and is solely illustrated by, the donkey/elephant symbols of American party politics, which besides being internationally limiting is way over the heads of the target audience. And while I wouldn't take off stars just for this, I do think there was a missed opportunity here for some parent education...I'd have loved to see a page in the back listing brief descriptions of the people mentioned in the text."
"This is cute but it's definitely not for a young child (toddler age), which I found a bit odd considering its design."
"My son enjoyed reading this together, plus it got him asking some great questions about stuff!"
"For the parents trying to raise children with a conscience this book is a fabulous addition to a child's library."
"Wonderful book."
"My son loves this book."
"Spine and edges ripped and damaged."

Smile
What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. The dental case that Telgemeier documents in this graphic memoir was extreme: a random accident led to front tooth loss when she was 12, and over the next several years, she suffered through surgery, implants, headgear, false teeth, and a rearrangement of her remaining incisors.
