Blues Brothers 2000
It's hard to ignore the sad and conspicuous absence of the late John Belushi, but this long-delayed sequel to 1980's The Blues Brothers still has Dan Aykroyd--as Chicago bad boy and blues rocker Elwood Blues--to keep the music alive. Once again, Elwood's trying to reunite the original Blues Brothers Band, and this time he's got a strip-joint bartender (John Goodman) and a 10-year-old orphan named Buster (J. Evan Bonifant) joining him at center stage. King, Jonny Lang, Eddie Floyd, and Blues Traveler are among the many special guests assembled for the film, and their stellar presence makes you wonder if the revived Blues Brothers shouldn't remain an obscure opening act.

"If you loved the first one, you should love this one just as much."
"All I can say in a few word is: "What a great movie A+++ " Great actors and musicians."
"Great film... not perhaps as good as the original, but it's great that we get to see them "get the band back together again"!"
"not as good as the first but still a great movie to watch!"
"The only put down I have and I'm not sure if it just me not waiting long enough is that the video case mention special features which aren't listed here on product details that one get to by pressing Pop up menu on the remote."
"Near the end of the film when they go to the voodo house, it turned into a stupid fake looking film. The first film was quite realistic, while this film was so fake it wasn't even funny!"
"So, yes, the plot is even sillier than the first, and some of the acting makes me wince, but watch the film for all those great cameos (nicely shown during the end credits) and the great music."
"Sophomoric at best."

"An awesome album in the style of glazer and Evans. Truly sad, because if you take "Science is Real (the song)" to heart, the kids might learn something useful."
"So I guess I missed the news that the sun was no longer made of gas but it was now a miasma of incandescent plasma, but now I know and so does my son's kindergarten class, This was announced during the morning weather report (and yes he can now define all these words)."
"My oldest son's musical taste/interest progressed beyond songs about the alphabet and numbers several years ago and I purchased this thinking it would make a fine early introduction to science and TMBG for our toddler."
"He sings the songs all the time and I love that he's learning and enjoying himself at the same time!"
"Digging, and digging, and digging, and digging... And many other songs about Science stuck in your head, courtesy these cool guys and their magical lyrics."
"We are not creationists--which is why we wanted our kids to hear this album... to combat the theologic myths that try to pass themselves as scientific or proven to be anything more than that."
"TMBG ventured into the children's music world as soundtracks to some kid shows (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Higgly Town Heroes, etc) and they had success with Here Come the ABC's and Here Come the 123's, and both of those albums are decent, but Here Comes Science is their children's tour de force."
"Kids love this CD!!!"

"Well, I chose to take a chunk of time out of my busy day and do just that because I feel like I need to let as many people as possible know about this truly amazing music collection. So I did what every trusting, good patient does and filled my script for the antidepressant prozac and it gave me these really bad headaches in the back of my head. I feel good and I'm now convinced that this music and Michael S. Tyrell are the real deal. It explains how this project came to be and how God Himself inspires Michael to help people every day."
"Wow!"
"My husband was an acoustic and vibration engineer for NASA."
"What an incredible product."
"I attempt to play the entire set of cd's every morning to start my day, however, I usually get to #3 and then my day takes me away."

"I've just listened to a couple on my phone so far."
