Christmas at Downton Abbey
Christmas At Downton Abbey is the official festive collection from the much loved, award-winning television series, Downton Abbey.
Reviews
"I don't buy things just because they are associated with a favorite program and I admit I was a little skeptical when I saw a Christmas album associated with Downton Abbey. Whether the music or singing style is associated with the era depicted in Downton Abbey is still debatable. It brought back wonderful feelings and memories of window shopping as a kid, the Christmas music they played on speakers at night in my little town, Christmas plays at school, and the music we had in our own home growing up (even though it was late 60's - 70's, we had old stuff). I think even very young generations can create their own memories with this classic collection, though not everyone will appreciate the theatrical style in places."
"Christmas at Downton Abbey is an intelligent blend of traditional carols and classical Christmas music. I appreciated McGovern's fresh interpretations without doing violence to familiar tradition, while Overden's operatic voice was clear and beautiful."
"You do not need to love Downton Abbey to love this CD."
"I'm a fan of historical drama in movies and television, especially anything from the American Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)."
"My wife loved Downton Abbey; the final episode could not have been better."
"Great to have especially when driving back home for Christmas."
"I loved that it has two discs, the first having performances by Downton Abbey Cast members."
"This was purchased as gift so the actual cd has not been played yet, however the download has been lovely indeed and I must thank Amazon for this bonus when you buy new cds from them."

Reviews
"My only disappointment is that one of the CD's came with the inside crushed and little pieces of plastic all over the disc."
"Love this soundtrack!"
"The show's theme song is great, and their version of House of the Rising Sun is amazing."
"Another one where you can picture what was going on when the song was played!"
"I bought this thinking that some of the really great songs they play at the end of every episode would appear on this album."
"Got all three, I read all about it and I understand what songs but it’s not the same as when your watching the show."
"I like the music on the show so much I'm hoping they come out with another compilation."
"I even warned my wife that some of the music may not be of her liking but guess what, we love it."

John Williams - Greatest Hits 1969 - 1999
John Williams: Greatest Hits 1969-1999 collects 30 years of the composer's best-loved themes into one double-CD package. You'll find all the soundtrack moments you'd expect from Indiana Jones , Close Encounters , and Schindler's List , along with a few surprises ( The Reivers Americana-filled main theme and Williams's 1984 Olympic theme, for starters).
Reviews
"I would say that this CD Album is the best collection of John Williams Soundtracks for a span of 30 years."
"Great compilation of Williams great scores..."
"All the movies he ever did are on this album, I think, including E.T., Poltergeist, Empire of the Sun, 1941, and many more."
"Being movie illiterate most of the time, I found myself so attracted to those soundtracks with which I was already familiar, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, etc., some even loving the music but not especially remembering nor enjoying the movie nearly as much."
"His music adds another dimension to movies, giving it that background of soul and heart. During ET, as the spaceship lifts from the ground at the end, we hear that swell of instruments and the final chords, and it never fails to bring a tear to my eye."
"The songs that aren't known, like the ones from Amastad and Stepmom are still very appropriate for a working classroom."
"I LOVE John Williams and this has all the greatest songs he has written."
"This 2-disc album contains all of the greatest John Williams film scores and themes."

Miami Vice: Complete Collection
A long awaited digitally remastered 2CD set from keyboardist Jan Hammer, produced just for One Way Records.
Reviews
"Miami Vice was one of my favorite television series and the music from it was an added bonus! Not many endeavors on television or film can match a well written script with great music like Michael Mann's 1980s Miami Vice."
"Miami Vice is often remembered for the flashy visuals and the exceptional use of big name musical acts, but what becomes very evident as you watch the show is how vital the score by Jan Hammer is."
"I'm a fan of Hammer"s work."
"This two-album collection comprises the third selection of my Miami Vice collection."
"Being from NC and having moved to MD and hating every minute of it, I look for stuff that makes me comfortable."
"When you hear the music and remember certain episodes, makes me realize what a genius Hammer is."
"After reading some reviews of other Miami Vice soundtracks, this one was the most recommended."
"downloaded wont play on Amazon Cloud."

""Fooled Around and Fell in Love" Elvin Bishop 4:35. 6. "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" Rupert Holmes 4:37. 11. "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell 2:29. Total length: 44:35. If this doesn't put a smile on your face and get your toes tapping- see a cardiologist-or a mortician."
"Its soundtrack. It's music that people of all walks of life will love- in fact, when's the last time you can say you've played tracks like "Hooked on a Feeling" or "Come and Get Your Love" at full blast? producer Kevin Feige and Dave Jordan) have re-mastered the tracks in a way to make the tracks sound as if they're being played through an old tape deck, to keep the feel of the tracks. If this were any other film, tracks such as "I Want You Back" or "O-o-h Child" being on the soundtrack would come off as passé, but here, it makes perfect sense, given the film's themes and nostalgic feel. Starting off the tracklist on an energetic note with Blue Swede's cover of "Hooked on a Feeling" and ending with "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", the tracklist is consistent- a rollercoaster of high energy uptempo rockers ("Cherry Bomb", "Spirit in the Sky"), smooth ballads to even things out ("Fooled Around and Fell in Love", "I'm Not in Love"), and funky pop classics ("I Want You Back", "Come and Get My Love"). In the context of the film, they work equally as fantastic- watching our heroes get ready for war to the sounds of "Cherry Bomb", watching Quill get down and boogie to "Come and Get My Love" over the opening credits, watching Quill fly his way back to his ship in his battle gear to the funky sounds of "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)"."
"Having the digital version available on Amazon Prime is fantastic."
"The CD arrived in perfect condition and I was able to use it in my car and on my laptop."
"I saw the movies and had to have both cds, volume 1 and 2."
"I was a teenager in the 70's and this music was part of my high school experience."
"I'm really happy with it; the image and sound quality are fantastic, and it costs a lot less than most new vinyls."
"I loved the soundtrack when I heard it in the theater and I still enjoy listening to it away from the movie."
