"The Tiro 17 has rave reviews and the price from Amazon vendor Western Sporting Goods was all I needed to seal the deal. The medium Tiros were too large …too baggy in the waist and seat for my taste and the legs were too long as well …seriously stacking at the ankles and wrinkling around the thighs. I wanted the smooth sleek look of the Tiro’s the model is wearing on the site …so I swapped for the smalls. Adidas lists 30” as the maximum size for smalls but they fit fine; there’s plenty of room in the waist. If you unzip the legs a couple inches they fit even better over your kicks especially with high tops like my Air Footscape Magistas. Out of the bag the material the Tiro 17’s are made from feels a bit coarse and scratchy but gets way better after the first washing; they become much smoother and softer with zero shrinkage. Flipping the waistband also lowers the waistline so you can raise the pants a bit and adjust how they fit your crotch. The Tiro’s are light, airy, wonderfully comfortable and even practical to a degree and have a sleek awesome look. Overall these are a versatile trendy pair of “technical” athletic pants to wear for a whole bunch of reasons and occasions; they’re not just for soccer."

Differential gear oil, thorny bushes, crawling on your hands and knees on a gravel road, or lassoing a wild giraffe, these pants hold up to anything."
"The stitching reflects the Chinese origin: sloppy work, with dangling loops of thread. The rear pockets are pleated, with a diagonal flap and Velcro pad situated off-center: strange looking, but just might be quite serviceable. The left features side gussets and a Velcro flap, but the pocket is too small for a cell phone, keys, or much of anything else. Except it's just about the right size for a couple of .45 magazines, and that might or might not be a useful feature (A Glock 17 mag fits nicely, if you're a fan of poodle shooters). Oddly, the right cargo pocket has a little slit at the top of the flap (shown in the second photo from the bottom, lower right)."

So, if you want an extremely comfortable and light weight jersey knit pant, go with Russell jersey knit and buy as many as you can afford – putting them away for a rainy day."

I've bought five different types of Balega socks in total: Balega Soft Tread No Show (Balega Soft Tread No Show - Royal BAL8926). Balega Ultralight No Show (Balega Ultralight No Show Socks - Royal Blue/White - Small). Balega Hidden Contour (Balega Hidden Contour Socks, Black/Yellow, Large). Balega Hidden Comfort -- THIS PRODUCT. Balega Blister Resist No Show (Balega Blister Resist No Show Socks, White, Large). The Balega Ultralight are very thin and rather smaller--especially in comparison to the other models. They are both a bit thicker and larger than the Soft Tread socks, but they are comfortable and nicer for winter weather, when I tend to wear them running. I like the Soft Tread best (for running) because they are thick enough to be padded and comfortable, but I have to pull them snug on my feet so there is no room for my feet to move against the sock. Though the Hidden Comfort came with an L on each sock, that stands for "Large", not "Left"."
