Find Best Price at Amazon"Positives: * Build quality (feels like a high end player). * Sleek, minimal, understated physical design. * Excellent scaling so 1080P Blu-rays look great (set to output 4K so the player does the scaling; I use the "Auto2" setting for '4K Upscale Setting' in 'Screen Settings' which outputs 4K video for everything when connected to a 4K compatible TV). * Supports 3D Blu-rays (as well as UHD BD discs, regular 2D Blu-rays, SACD, DVD, DVD-Audio and CD). * Has a 2nd HDMI port for audio only so you can connect it to a receiver (like one that doesn't support 4K). * Includes a wired Ethernet/LAN port (as well as built-in WiFi). * Includes Bluetooth so you can listen with Bluetooth headphones. * Decent paper/printed manual. * Small but functional remote. * Netflix starts very quickly. * 2x free 4K movie discs when you register the player and get a coupon (must do this before this offer expires). * Quiet. The downsides/quirks: * I had trouble manually checking for an update. * No Dolby Vision (DV) support. * No HDR support in Amazon app (but does support 4K) (the Netflix app does support 4K & HDR). * UPDATE 2017-08-12: Twice now it has frozen while watching 2 different 1080P Blu-rays. Other: * I could not get a bitstream/Atmos audio feed to my receiver until I turned off the "BD Audio MIX Setting" in the Audio Settings. * No display on front; just a small green LED that isn't annoyingly bright (use the 'DISPLAY' button on the remote for a nice on-screen display). * No analog outputs. * Made in Malaysia. * No optical digital out (instead it's coaxial). * No cables included (no HDMI cable so you'll need a "Premium High Speed" or "High Speed" HDMI cable that supports 18 Gbps bandwidth). So far this unit has been performing without issue and even updates over a wired connection (unlike my first unit). If this unit continues to perform well then I'll up my rating back to 5 stars and assume that my first unit was just a bad one. UPDATE 2017-09-02: The new unit has been working very well. UPDATE 2017-10-11: My new unit continues to work better than my old one (no freezes and reboots) but there are bugs playing content back, especially Netflix when it tries to do a Dolby Digital+ soundtrack... some very strange things can happen if you try to go back 10 seconds."
"It got to a point where the picture was distorted, would blank out, and/or the player would freeze up and only a hard reset would fix the issue. To be clear, yes the HDMI cable was updated and more than capable of handling 4K, the picture would distort when playing both discs (DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K) and apps (Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Vudu), and it wasn’t the TV because I even purchased a new Sony XBR55930E. Buyer beware, this is a great player when it works but it is absolutely not worth the time, effort, and frustration. Player #1: Easy set up, everything loads very quickly, and the control is noticeably heavy, in a good way. Therefore, unless you absolutely ~must~ have a 4k blu ray player (we've invested pretty heavily in 4k movies at this point), then I would hold off on this purchase until improvements have been made."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Apparently I didn't read all of the description, and I didn't realize that I had to purchase the high speed hdmi cord separately. The instructions made me think that I needed the hdmi cord and a coaxial cable, but I didn't. There is a feature called "Screen Mirroring," which sounds awesome, but I was unable to get it to work. Read all of the features and go ahead and order the hdmi cord (if you don't have one)."
"You'll see several other posts noting the problem; it appears to be a serious problem with the unit that Sony can't solve. And, if we're batting 0/2 with this problem, on two completely different units,you can bet that there's a good chance your player will have this problem, too."

"I followed the instruction manual to disable this function, and it gave me the message "Child lock deactivated. Thinking this was just a faulty device, we returned it to Amazon, who promptly sent us out a replacement."
"Did I mention in order to swap discs when the "Child Lock" issue rears its ugly head, you have to factory reset the unit by unplugging it, then holding the "eject" button for 10-20 seconds after plugging it back in. Called customer support and after about 10 minutes on the phone with me they told me they were shipping me *another* BDPS-3700 (the first time I called and was told I would be getting a replacement unit took about an hour and a half). I'm pretty sure at this point that the replacement unit Sony is sending me will provide me copious amounts of grief just like the prior two did."

Find Best Price at Amazon"The Samsung BD-J5700 is a fine Blu-ray disk player with smart features and a good user interface and it integrates well with Samsung smart TV's. In this review I'll set my environment so my results can be seen in context. I got the Samsung BD-J5700 because I have a Samsung smart TV and was hoping it would integrate even better than my B00SKXTFWS Panasonic DMP-BDT270 Blu-Ray which I already liked a lot. Unlike the 4K up-scaling Panasonic this Samsung is a 1080P player and does not play 4K content. It is also less expensive... SHORT VERSION. Pro's: + Integrates well with Samsung Smart TV's. + Easy Setup (wired or wireless). + Fast Startup. + Logical and responsive user interface. + Well designed remote. + Good App Selection and Home Networking. + Compact Size. Con's: - Upscaling of DVD media could be better. - Amazon app appears to be SD only. Bottom line is if DVD up-scaling or Amazon app HD are not really important this is a 5 star value. IN USE: When turning on the Samsung player the time to home screen is about the same as the Panasonic which I feel is very fast. I think that's pretty quick and includes the player using CEC protocol to tell my Samsung TV to switch the active input to the player. The full list of built-in Apps on mine include Amazon, Hulu Plus, You Tube, VUDU, CinemaNow, InternetTV, Yupp TV, Netflix, Pandora, Rhapsody, AccuWeather. The Amazon app seems unable to stream HD content - all that was available to me was SD. In particular how well a Blu-ray player can up-scale the DVD video for display on HD players. If you have a lot of DVD content or Amazon video in HD matters consider the Panasonic."

Find Best Price at Amazon"The 2017 Model GooBang Doo Android 6.0 T95X TV Box is a great way to delve into the world of streaming music and video from sources all over the world. You'll also want to consider using a VPN on your T95X as a lot of ISPs will block streaming from the majority of add-ons. The only reason I gave this four of five stars is the hardware. There is a convenient "Clean Memory" icon on the homepage to clear the device's memory cache, and unless you do this frequently, the unit's CPU and RAM will be at peak use most of the time. Its can be very annoying but as long as you remember to clean the memory... and don't leave the device powered-on for long periods of time, it won't be a big issue for you."
