Well, the HI can light up a room and the off is more of a negative display (turning the screen black and the numbers a dim white). The radio was only bringing in static and there was a slight "digital" bleeping sound in the background. Great clock if/when it works...but have two out of three fail in 4 days isn't a good first impression. Congrats to the several thousand people who had 5-Star success...but I'm in the 2-3 star approval range for this product. The pics were taking with a crappy cell phone camera so I adjusted them to attempt to give a more accurate depiction, hopefully that helps SOMEONE, though my advice is to just buy something else entirely."

"I'm 70 yrs young and I spend my days gardening in my big yard April to October. I wanted a SIMPLE radio that could run on AA rechargeable batteries so I could always have a spare set charged. I wanted a large dial display, with a large tuning knob (NOT tiny buttons that take forever to tune and hurt my fingers) and a volume wheel (instead of those nasty little buttons). I called Panasonic to ask a question and they have not made this radio since 2001 but told me there's no reason why Amazon's stock would not be good. When I googled battery-operated portable radio, all the links were for boom boxes with CD players, Smart Phone chargers, Bluetooth and other things I don't need. If the battery ran out of juice, you'd have to plug it into a wall outlet and wait hours for it to recharge. I paid $110 + tax for a portable Sangean radio with both solar and internal rechargeable battery."

I have really enjoyed setting up my playlists and listening to Deezer on my Bose music system. Unfortunately, you can not listen to your own Amazon Prime Playlists, but you have the options of listening to Amazon's pre-selected Prime Playlists and Amazon's Prime Stations. Also, just recently Amazon Music Services added "My Music" to their services, so now you can listen to your own Amazon Playlists and not just their pre-selected playlists. There is one thing that I wish Bose would add to their Music Systems and Speakers, and that is a setting to be able to listen to all track/songs at the same volume level. Even if you have a Spotify Premium subscription and listen to it on the Bose Music System, unfortunately that option does not carry over."
