AT2020 = .63". AT2035 = .96". AT2050 = .80". AT4033 = .45". AT4040 = .80". AT4047 = .84". AT4050 = .84". So there you go, the AT2035 wins the size competition and it's an excellent sounding microphone for a seriously bargain price. I own several MXL LDC microphones which always need work to sound great, I've replaced the diaphragms in five MXL 2001 and use these on drum toms. I wish I'd known how good these low priced AT microphones sounded before going down that path, the AT2035 makes an excellent tom tom microphone too and it's all done, you don't need to spend an afternoon disassembling mic's and soldering fragile expensive components."

Find Best Price at Amazon"One nice thing about the Rode, and probably the Heil too, is that the arms are made in such a way that the angle of the mic is the same no matter what position the stand is in. There is an easy solution for this, but it requires an additional purchase (see below). Tips for Yeti Owners: The Yeti is a very popular USB mic (Just look at the review counts here on Amazon) so I'll share some tips for its use. To use the Yeti with this Boom, and without a shock mount, you'll need to buy a small extender - if you don't the USB cable doesn't clear the arm (Hence my comment above about how the Heil has a longer rod) I bought the On Stage QK2X $11 (Also known as QK2B in black $9) on Amazon and that gave the needed clearance, and also made it easy to remove the mic for storage. One more observation: I was concerned if this would clear the top of my monitor, and it just barely does - I can put the arm even with the desk and it clears the screen by about 1/4 inch - however, here's some good news - I found I don't need the arm to be even (parallel) with my desk - by the time you add the Yeti, and the QK2X, the mic is so low that you end up pushing the arm up, which means you have even more clearance over the monitor! Update Feb 2014: I obtained a Heil PL-2T arm a few months ago, so I'm able to fully compare the two."
"The arm on my has 1 problem when you hook up the Mic pop filter it moves say if your getting up and move it so you can get up other than that it's a great piece the pop filter has a little weight to It if you just get the foam over Mic you probably won't have a problem but even with his DRAGON PAD STUDIO POP FILTER it's actually starting to hold so I just think you have to set it a couple times but works great when he uses it and if you kid is like mine there on the computer 24/7."

When the mounts arrived, only one of the Rode PSA1's would fit in the mounts. I ordered 2 Heil Sound WM-1 Vertical Surface Mounts and the one Rode would fit in either Heil but the other Rode would only fit in the Rode mounts."

The rotary controls for the headphone level and monitor level are now shinier, with black lines rather than grooves in the knobs to mark the levels, making it much easier to see the setting at a glance. As with the 1st generation 2i2, two of the best features of this audio interface are things you don't get. There's no power brick, because it's powered straight from the USB bus; and there's no driver disc, because it uses standard USB Audio Class protocols. Audio quality hasn't changed with the new hardware as far as I can tell, though I didn't do any double-blind tests. It's certainly markedly better than Apple's built-in audio hardware on my MacBook Pro, and the headphone output can easily drive a full-size set of headphones to ear-splitting volumes.
