First, you punch the holes in your covers and your document. You can punch up to 10 pieces of paper at a time, although I suggest if you are using 230-250gsm card stock / 6-7mil plastic sheet as your front and back cover, punch them separately as that is much heavier weight paper/plastic sheet. Load the appropriate size comb for your document into the machine. When the comb is open, you can easily load your punched document onto the open ribs. After that's done, just push the comb opening lever to the back and your document is now comb bound! One thing that I really do consider is the safety features since dealing with electricity and heat is not a good combination. Plug in and turn on the machine, set it for the thickness of the laminate you're using (3 mil, or 5mil and above), wait for it to heat up (a light will let you know when it's ready), and feed your pouch and item to be laminated into the machine."
