Then, I started the VR Worlds disc and I was sold on the PSVR even before playing any of the games as the startup is absolutely amazing and must be experienced to believe as it's really like being there and there were times I said, "How can I breathe?," which was super cool and showed I was totally immersed in the games as well as the "room" of the VR Worlds. I gave her a brief tutorial on wearing the PSVR and the headset, as well as how to use the PS4 controller, put the PSVR and Sony Gold headset on her, gave her the PS4 controller, and off she went."

(HTC is required to restart each time to use) psvr is a plug n play a huge PRO as well but the major pro is the support it has on the future, other VR's are collecting dust waiting for something to pop up while psvr has a longgg list of games coming up that will be polished and feel satsifing. Find Best Price at Amazon"This is the third PlayStation VR stand that I have tried after the POWER A Charge & Display Station for PlayStation VR - PlayStation 4 and IVSO PS VR Controller Charge Stand, Rapid AC PS4 VR Charge Display Stand with Charging Ports +LED indication for PlayStation VR and PS Move Motion Controller - Extra space for VR Headset & Helmet, and by far the best. Also unlike the IVSO stand but more like the Power A stand, this stand takes very little effort to assemble out of the box. Whereas the Power A stand can't hold it up properly at all, and the IVSO stand just has it balancing precariously on top, this stand actually cradles the headset properly, with no strain being placed on the elastic straps like what inevitably happens with the Power A stand. It also holds, while simultaneously charging, two DualShock 4 controllers and two PlayStation Move controllers, the same as many as the IVSO stand and one more DS4 than the Power A can hold. It also actually leaves special openings for the wrist straps to pass through, whereas the Power A stand doesn't yet you can get them in there anyway with some effort due to the compartments being fairly loose, and the IVSO stand can't hold the Move controllers while the wrist straps are attached at all. It holds the DualShock controllers about as well as the Power A holds its single DualShock controller, due primarily to depending on the USB port instead of using the standard dock charger on the bottom of the controller bringing it down a bit, which is balanced out by the controllers staying on the charging connector better while they sometimes tend to come off on the Power A (the controller kinda needs to sit perfectly straight); but better than the IVSO, especially since this one doesn't need those stupid dongles that the IVSO stand requires. Find Best Price at Amazon"tl;dr We definitely need to get the word out to people who are buying new Pros to use ROTTR (Rise of the Tomb Raider) as a benchmark to test if you got a bad Pro or not. Long story short, my next brand spanking new PS4 Pro started crashing as well. After doing a lot of research, all the games that were crashing on me (Diablo 3 and ROTTR were the biggest culprits) were being played without hitch by most PS4 Pro owners. I was outside my return window so I had no choice but to send mine to Sony for repair. This was a hard decision as most games still ran just fine (including most PS4 Pro patched games - Skyrim SE, FFXV, AC Syndicate, Shadow of Mordor, Uncharted 4, etc), and I didn't want to replaced a perfectly working system with a refurbished one, but what choice was left? Without a doubt, the crashing was definitely hardware related as many people had suggested in forums. If I had to guess (and this is just pure speculation on my part) I would say the problem stems from a very large batch of bad PS4 Pro GPU's. I know no one wants to hear that their brand new console is defective, but if you are experiencing the same, it's true. For reference, below is my timeline for Playstation repair: 1/25/17: Requested Warranty Repair. 1/30/17: Received Return Box and shipped. 2/2/17: Delivered to Sony Repair in Laredo TX. 2/8/17: Received an email stating my product was shipped. 2/14/17: Received brand new PS4 Pro. After this experience, I'm definitely buying the PS4 Pro insurance if it becomes available (be aware the regular Playstation Protection Plan currently doesn't cover the Pro)."

"And as of system update 4.5 we're given an option in the system settings labeled "boost mode" which allows games that don't directly support ps4 pro to access it's more powerful hardware. Almost every major game released since the PRO launch has had some form of PRO support whether it be improved visuals, frame rates, or both! Here are some such games: Skyrim - runs at a slightly lower framerate in many scenes compared to base ps4. Deus ex - runs at a much lower framerate in many scenes compared to base ps4. Watch Dogs 2 - suffers from frame pacing issues not present on base ps4. World of Final Fantasy - suffers from worse image quality on pro (lol). MOST game's "pro" modes are superior in image quality and run better or equal to their "base" mode. It doesn't matter whether your Ps4 Pro is set to output 4k or 1080p, A Pro supported game will ALWAYS run in it's "pro" mode. All Sony has to do to fix this is push an update that allows us to opt out of "pro" mode for these rare cases where we get poorly optimized pro support."
