Find Best Price at Amazon"I almost pulled the trigger on one of those mounts until I stumbled upon these, which seems to be a new item since it never came up in search results before. Now the speakers I'm using weigh 20 pounds each and I absolutely did not want to drill and put screws into them and was afraid the foam pads wouldn't cut it. After finding the studs in the wall and screwing the mounts in (they come with a plastic cover to hide the scews), I tugged on it with a good amount of force; they're not going anywhere. So far I can say I'm pretty content with the way are and will keep a close eye on them; I am after all taking a risk with some expensive speakers. Besides that, this is an excellent purchase with tremendous amount of value and installation was simple and straight forward."
"I added a 4"x2" piece of velcro on the base of the mount and the bottom of the speaker. You can see the velcro in the attached pictures."
"The zip ties you see in the photos are safety straps to make sure the speaker won't work loose in the clamps because of vibration and the extreme angle there are tilted. I have some Locktite Mounting putty between the clamp and speaker and that's why safety straps. Regardless, the clamps do seem to hold the speaker tightly in place but better safe than sorry."
"As others have mentioned: I didn't want to drill into my speakers to fully secure them to the sides of the clamps - there are holes there to screw into the speakers... My mounts tilt down slightly, maybe 5degree angle? So I just put a strip of 3M foam under the speaker, the weight of the speaker holds it down enough that I don't think they will slide off."
