"It has a sturdy rigid black plastic body and the waterproof case is also very durable and clear. -A CRAP TON of stuff is included - Tons of different mounts, fittings, an extra battery, cables, microfiber cloth, an instruction booklet, among many other things are packed in a hard-shell carrying case that is surprisingly good quality. Very clear lens on it and includes waterproof exterior buttons to let you control the camera even while underwater, in the air, or pretty much anywhere. Troubles I had. -When you get the camera and its case, you may think that to open the case, you hold down the sliding tab and pull up from the back side of the black bar (the long part which is on the back of the waterproof case), but to open it you slide the tab and lift from the same side (lift on the same side as the front lens) This actually helps with the waterproofing so it is not a con. This camera has everything that you can expect in a much more expensive action cam, such as a GoPro Hero 3+, but for a steal of only $50."

Akaso has a better website (and hopefully support/warranty) compared other action cams I see on Amazon. Most waterproof cameras under $400 are mixed with bad reviews indicating leakage. This camera is with me & the wife right now in Hawaii celebrating our ten year anniversary! It has done a great job across several hours of salt water snorkeling, exploring beautiful pools, and adventuring in bamboo forests. The wireless was relatively straightforward so I could transfer the photos and videos to my iPhone easily. Shoot waterproof diving light (works great; I have not submerged more than 5 feet underwater). 3. No lens protector :( so be careful to store your plastic waterproof case in a sock! Included Remote control is not waterproof/submersible; there is no way to buy replacements from manufacturer. When in video recording mode, tap the down arrow to turn microphone on or off. In the menu, turn OFF the loop recording, date stamp, motion detection, and beep sound. Wider angles can be more fisheye for objects on the edge, but wide is great for snorkeling. Hold the up arrow and push the enter button on top; you will be prompted what to delete."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Upon my return to the US, I went to use the camera in my pool with the non-waterproof back and guess what - the camera got wet, the screen went white, and I thought I had ruined the camera leaving me with a bag of bits that I would never use again. However, I quickly removed camera from the case, removed the battery and memory card, put camera into a bag of rice and left in a warm place for 48 hours. I am happy to report that the camera appears to be working just fine - only time will tell."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I could only upload one video and Amazon reduces the quality of videos so it’s not the original quality by far! Your videos will look much much better. Since Amazon will decrease the video quality, I took some still shots from the video to give you an idea of quality when recording video above and below water. Water never leaked in the case it came with or fogged up. The size makes it SO easy to carry around and take video or pics. I haven't been able to tell if the 4K video is actually better than the 1080p yet as my phone doesn't have that high of a resolution. The one downfall is the menu options to change mode and get in to settings is a little cumbersome but I don't expect much from it."
"The weight is light, so it's easy to bring along on an adventure. We haven't tested the waterproof case yet, but it seems sturdy and up to the task. This does the job well (and if it gets damaged during an adventure, it's not as much of a loss as with more expensive ones)."
