"No particular reason, I suppose, but I like to try lots of different shapes and have fun coming up with new toppings/sauces. (I no longer eat white rice/flour/pasta/potatoes due to triglycerides issues, so the whole wheat aspect of this product was important to me.). It is a bit chewy, as many whole grain pastas are, and of course the middles where the noodles are pinched together are a little chewier than the edges. Here's what I put on top of this farfalle last time I bought it (note that steps 1 and 2, as well as pasta cooking, should be conducted simultaneously): 1. When the onion is translucent, add about 1/2 to 1 cup of white wine (I used Sutter Home Sauvignon Blanc but Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio will do just as well)."
