"I noticed that as the mop moves forward, after spraying the solution, the front of the pad picks up the moisture and the center and the back of the pad tend to stay dry. I had to pick up the mop and place it over the top of the sprayed solution, several times, to get the center and rear of the pad wet. The unit was quite easy to maneuver around furniture and there was very little mess to clean up."

I used two full pads and that was a quick mop job throughout my apartment.So I wouldn't recommend using this for a huge house unless you're willing to go through a lot of those expensive pads. I can't tell if this is what she has been using this whole time but considering that I don't remember EVER buying a mop, much less a replacement head for it, there is no other less mortifying reality. Again, I'm hardly a mop expert but it appears to me that keeping the mop head (if that's what you even call it) only lightly damp allows you to exert more pressure to pick up more stubborn grime without creating puddles. Then to take off mop head, simply stand on some strands and lift handle up and the head pops right off. This, needless to say, is a testament to how easy the mop is to use (and how bad of a mother/grandmother I am.)."
"Update 8/07/16 After purchasing a new unit I found the mop was more efficient removing water than my previous one. Feb 11, 2016, A gentleman jarred my memory, about disassembling cleaning and greasing the internal moving parts to prevent seizing. I've moped and supervised many floors in my 20 plus years in the Navy, and In my life.I have never come across a mop that simplified my life as this one has. The pulley system began to seize causing the base of the foot peddle to break in half rendering it useless."
"I have dark cherry hardwood floors and a house that is practically all large windows with very few full length walls therefore the sun constantly "highlights" every speck of dirt, Black Lab hair, and paw print. It spins almost all of the water out so each mopping is done without pushing dirty water around as is the case with traditional mops and buckets. I also found there were certain positions which worked better...a wee bit of trial and error practice was required but after a couple of minutes I got in the groove and all worked well."
