"For the last six months I've been receiving injections for wet macular degeneration in my right eye but, judging by my second to last exam, they seemed to have run their course and were no longer having the desired positive effect. No more keeping stocked with and choking down a half dozen supplement capsules; no more upset stomach from the zinc; and no more missing my doses for days at a time due to both of the above. He got excited about what he saw when he looked at the back of my eye and decided to proceed with the injection one more time."
"The AREDS and AREDS 2 formulas were recommended by my opthamologist to retard macular degeneration."
"I started taking the AREDS2 supplement, twice a day, and began eating more green, leafy vegetables (kale, spinach, eggs, anything high in lutein and zeaxanthin) and drinking more red wine (with moderation, of course). Don't forget to wear UV sunglasses outside, particularly amber-colored glasses that filter out the damaging blue light of the sky."
"My opthalmologist told me that I had the early signs of macular degeneration (I didn't see that one coming!)."
"I've noticed a difference and I use drops much less however I may go back to them because of the exdense."
"My ophthalmologist suggested I start taking them because I am in the very beginning stages of AMD and he is hoping the vitamins will slow the progression."
"I have been taking this for years on my eye doctors recommendation."
"Might be a coincidence, but I developed a nagging headache and dizziness while taking these."

"I scrambled to find a doctor to set up and appointment with to discuss medication even though I am typically adverse to any medications for our family unless absolutely necessary and always seek natural methods first if possible. After one week, we already noticed a difference. We went to his doctor appointment and she noticed such a difference that she was fully supportive of continuing our natural methods and even wrote a letter to support our decision to his school."
"The other difference is that the kids version comes in a smaller bottle that costs more per gummy."
"My kids have no problems eating omega gummies from SmartyPants, and my youngest actually will ask for her "fishies"."
"Sure theres no HFCS but this is still loaded with sugar, and I dont want to be feeding that to my kids."
"Let me say right up front, I am an RN who doesn't believe in ADHA medications (or the rate at which they seem to be handed out, like candy, these days) So, when the public school all but demanded our 7 (at the time) y/o grandson be medicated for a disorder he has never been diagnosed with and told us "he may never catch up with his peers," we were both furious and devastated at the same time. He's "all boy" with plenty of energy and at times has an issue with impulse control. We have always been conscious of his diet, limiting sweets, pop & HFCS, which is pretty tough in processed foods. When even a 9 (nearly 10) y/o says "I can feel the difference when I miss taking them in the morning, Mawmaw" Then CLEARLY they work!! In less then two years, he is reading at grade level, scoring "advanced" on every Math assessment and passed his OAA's with a 401!!"
"We get these on subscribe and save and my toddler loves these."

"Vitamins recommended in pregnancy (upper limits): -- how much is in the Garden of Life prenatals: Calcium: 1000mg (<2500) – 125mg. Choline: 450mg (<3500) -- 0. DHA: 300mg --0. Folate (better than synthetic Folic acid): 600mcg – 800mcg. Iodine: 250 (<1100mcg) – 150mcg. Iron: 27mg (<45mg) – 18mg. Potassium: 4700mg --0. Riboflavin: 1.4mg –1.7mg. B6: 1.9mg –2mg. B12: 2.6mcg –6mcg. C: 85mg (<2000mg) –60 mg. D: 600IU (<4000) –1,400IU. Zinc: 11mg (<40mg) – 7.5mg. Biotin: 30mcg –300mcg. Magnesium 360mg –38mg. Based on this information, I still needed the minimum of the following nutrients each day: Calcium: 875mg. Choline: 450mg. DHA: 300mg. Iodine: 100mcg. Iron: 9mg. Potassium: 4700mg. C: 25mg. Zinc: 3.5mg. Magnesium 322mg. Note: You get some of this with a healthy diet, but I wanted to ensure I was getting all of it daily for me and my developing baby. Garden of Life Raw Calcium (food based) for Calcium: 756mg; Vitamin C: 50 mg; Magnesium: 386mg https://smile.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Vitamin-Calcium-Capsules/dp/B003L31NM2/ref=sr_1_sc_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1474225696&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=garden+of+life+raw+calc. 3. Garden of Life Healthy Blood (food based) for Iron: 28mg (note this is more iron than you need when coupled with this prenatal but when you are making 4-5 pounds of extra blood many women need it - this is different for each woman and you should get your iron tested) https://smile.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Vitamin-Code%C2%AE-Capsules/dp/B0098U0QWA/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1474225734&sr=8-1&keywords=garden%2Bof%2Blife%2Bhealthy%2Bblood&th=1. After all these supplements, I am still short: DHA: 80mg. Calcium: 119mg. Potassium: 4700mg. Zinc: 3.5mg. I do get most of this in my healthy diet each day, but just to be safe (and ensure I grow the best baby I possibly can) I also take the following “nonessential” but beneficial supplements each day: 6. Garden of Life raw B-Complex (food based) for extra B vitamins (these give you energy so best to take in the am and you pee out what you don’t need) https://smile.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Vitamin-Complex-Capsules/dp/B0098U0SQO/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1474226074&sr=8-2&keywords=garden+of+life+b+complex. 7."
"Perhaps my heightened sense of smell doesn't help but every time I put this vitamin in my mouth, the smell is overpowering and I can't help but gag and want to vomit before I even swallow it."
"But then I started taking the Garden of Life pre-natal vitamins (along with Nordic Naturals - Prenatal DHA, Supports Brain Development in Babies During Pregnancy and Lactation, 180 Soft Gels) and never had another headache for the rest of the pregnancy."
"Amazon sells these with options of 30 capsules, 90 capsules, and 180 capsules (listed under the same product name). The different size capsules are in reality different products, but they are listed as the same product that only differs in the number of capsules per container; which is not only very misleading, it also means that the product reviews or answers to questions written for those various products are listed all together on Amazon, and it's impossible to tell whether people were describing their experience with the 30 capsule, 90 capsule or 180 capsule bottle. For example, how do you know if the person writing a review was using the 90 capsule bottle with the fillers and without vitex or protein or the 180 capsule bottle that has vitex, protein and no fillers or the 30 capsule bottle that doesn't have vitex, but has brewer's yeast that the others don't have (they have regular yeast), and which can be a problem to people with gluten allergies. I came back to the Amazon page just to discover that the bottle I bought (90 capsules), had fillers and binders, and was missing protein, probiotics and vitex (although I'm not crazy about vitex) that the 180 capsule bottle has. They way I see it, those are two completely different products, and the product in the 90 capsule bottle is significantly inferior to the product in the 180 capsule bottle. Well, the 90 and 180 capsule product doesn't, but the 30 capsule bottle contains brewers yeast which is a gluten containing substance."
