Find Best Price at Amazon"I am very pleased with my SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner/Sanitizer. The SoClean does a great job at sanitizing my CPAP tank, hose and mask/cushion/headgear, but it does NOT clean off the perspiration and skin oils that accumulate on the cushion/mask/headgear. To see what I've learned about using the SoClean2 with my CPAP equipment please read on... WHAT IS THIS SOCLEAN 2 THING? If don't know what the SoClean 2 does, here it is: It's an ozone generator and circulator. The SoClean keeps the Ozone in a closed loop and when the treatment is over uses a filter to convert ozone back to regular oxygen over a couple of hours. The SoClean 2 works by feeding ozone through an adapter that goes between your CPAP machine and hose. If you have a humidifier tank there is a hose that snakes into the tank to bubble ozone through the water (keeping it bacteria free) and then it passes through the hose and back out the mask which is inside the SoClean where the hose enters via a rubber sealed opening. A NOTE ON OZONE: According to the SoClean web site "The ozone concentration is up to 25PPM (parts per million)" when cleaning That's inside the SoClean and is circulated through the CPAP equipment. When the cleaning cycle is finished the SoClean takes 2 hours to for the filter to reduce and neutralize the Ozone to safe levels. The SoClean does NOT really "CLEAN" your equipment. The included instruction booklet (downloadable from the SoClean web site) is quite good and covers how to setup the SoClean with your CPAP machine. A nice feature if the SoClean 2 is automatic cleaning. The SoClean clock lost track of time and before I noticed I thought my SoClean was broken! The automatic cleaning schedule wasn't lost with the power, but with the clock set about 8 hours early so my mask wasn't getting cleaned when I expected. LESSON: Remember to reset the SoClean clock after a power failure to assure to your automatic cleaning cycle happens as expected. One less thing to keep on my shelf... :-). While not directly a SoClean consumable it's worth noting my mask and hoses seem to last a lot longer saving me noticeable money ( I pay full price until my insurance deductible is met). I'm very pleased with the SoClean 2 and it has noticeably and significantly improved my CPAP experience since I got it."
"Second, I HATE cleaning the mask and hoses from the CPAP, it's impossible to get to all the little grooves and ridges in them and no matter how hard you try... after several weeks they start getting that "musty" smell. wake up, pull the mask off your face, dump it into the top of the unit and close the lid (there's a notch in the side for the hose to stay connected to the CPAP itself). I had one REALLY minor issue with the adapter and contacted support via e-mail and they were back to me within a few hours and had a solution immediately. I will add a couple of things though: The SoClean does leave an odor in the hose/mask, but it's one of Ozone, not mildew, a definite improvement and one that is immediately removed by just turning on the CPAP for a few seconds before I put it on my face and let the air blow through it."
