However, you can never tell which brush mode you're in unless you paired it with the app. However, you do not know which mode you're in and to try different modes you have to select different journeys."
"While you're brushing the app pretty much gives you the same info that you get with the smart guide that Oral B has included with their toothbrushes for a while now (although it does also include news headlines, weather information, and upcoming calendar appointments) but frankly,when I first got my triumph brush I think I used the smart guide for all of about a week and then managed to lose it in the back of a bathroom cabinet, so I'm not sure I really see myself continuing to open up the app every time I brush my teeth. The other thing worth noting is that it doesn't work well to share the brush with someone else. So in the end I'm going to keep the brush as I'm really quite happy with it's performance as an electric toothbrush, and the bluetooth feature doesn't really add any additional cost (I believe it's actually the same price as the non-bluetooth Pro 5000), but I'm not sure I'll actually be using the bluetooth feature several weeks from now."

I decided to try an electric rechargeable brush with replaceable heads and found this product - it had great reviews and seemed like good value for money. The Braun motor works very good with a manageable noise level and it spins the head very fast. -- It has flossy bits in the head of brush that do a pretty good job. But, this is no replacement for actual flossing and that should always be a part of a good oral regimen no matter what brush you use. -- The rubber grip on the brush is good and it remains firmly in the hand."

Here are the biggest reasons why I'm loving it: - Easy Charging: Unlike my Sonicare Flexcare, you don't have to place the toothbrush on-top of a charging pin, you can simply place it in the charging cup. - Seamless / waterproof / handsome design: Over time, my old Fexcare toothbrush started smelling funky because water and gunk accumulated around the seams between the rubber at the bottom charging area. Brushing too hard is a real issue with electric toothbrushes since in extreme cases, it could wear your gums down, this toothbrush tells you if you are doing it too hard so you don't have to worry!"
"This is a pretty pricey toothbrush "system" but my dentist, who is up on all the latest tech, is a huge fan of Sonicare and he tracks how well you do when you change dental care appliances. So I had bought the older version of this toothbrush on his recommendation (he had a very good deal) and also a Waterpik WP100W Ultra Dental Water Flosser . So you can easily spend two to four benjamins for home dental care and not bat an eye. I also bought an UltraFlosser (scouting sales) and now I have the DiamondClean, which adds interactive coaching. Interactive phone screens show you when to change quadrants and how long to brush and record your progress and daily discipline. You want to eliminate those deep pockets, so brushing with this really helps but add the flosser or floss or use whatever the dentist recommends but do it. You will remove the plaque (bacteria buildup) and the tartar that irritates the margins of the gums and help prevent bad problems down the road. You will see a change by your next dental visit if you are diligent, use the timer and app and make sure you get to the gum-tooth margins. You also need to floss or use the water flosser or some sort of inter-dental cleaning because this brush doesn't get between teeth although it does a great job at the gum margin."
"I'll be comparing this to the Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean Rechargeable Toothbrush w/Deep Clean Mode with Adaptive Clean Brush Head, Black which is an earlier model that I've used for the past two years (pink is the new one, black is the earlier model). If you already own a Diamond Clean brush, the upgrades here are not worth the price hike in my opinion. You get an extra brush head, a tongue cleaning head to go along with the new tongue cleaning mode, and the brush can automatically detect the type of head you are using and use the corresponding brush mode."
