We've purchased towels from the warehouse folk before and they were like trying to dry off with the front door mat, so I wasn't too worried, but said we would get one just to see how it stood up. The Sam's Club towel was sold under the brand name Hotel Luxury Reserve is made in India and measures 54 x 28 and weighs 25.5 ounces. Only they weren't really matching, not a big deal, but not even the same brand and, I thought, since I'm buying the bath towels they will no doubt just send the other merchandise with them."

The towels come with double stitched hemmed finishing for less amount of disintegration after washing. Proper washing and drying are going to make sure that they stay free from mildew for a longer time. - Before you start using your towels, it is advised to wash them to remove the excessive lint that is left over during the manufacturing process. In order to decrease the risk of color bleeding use half the amount of detergent that you would normally use along with ½ to 1 cup of white vinegar (about 120-240 mL). - Use warm water to wash towels in order to avoid color bleeding. Set includes two bath towels (27 inch x 54 inch), two hand towels (16 inch x 28 inch), and four washcloths (13 inch x 13 inch).

One reason being the low $21.99 price point for the set of 6 towels, another being the slightly larger bath towels at 30"x 56" (standard is 27x54). Also, I read reviews stating that the plum is slightly lighter than pictured and this is what I was hoping for. I figured they were worth a risk as I noticed the reviewers who noted the plum color didn't seem to have as many negative reviews. I don't wash towels with jeans or other articles with zippers or anything that could snag them (or that the towels would wear down). We will be ordering another set while we can (noticed the seperates in plum are no longer available and the HUGE bath mat in plum is now also gone- very plush!)."

And I guess the other thing is that while Egyptian IS the "cadillac", Pima cotton is grown in America and creates a towel similar in GSM to Egyptian, and Turkish cotton is also a quality cotton - again, the key with all three (Egyptian, Pima or Turkish) is making sure it says "100%". HOWEVER... after my husband began using them, I started noticing white splotches on the wash cloths as I'd also read about in other reviews (though NOT on the hand or bath towels.)."
