"The first batch I made I kept them in for 7 minutes and the tops had already started to get a bit cooked, so I only left the next batch in for 6 minutes. One thing this machine does that my other machine doesn't do is it browns the tops. I have only used this to make cupcakes so far, I am looking forward to making the next batch of muffins in this to see how crispy I can get the tops. With our other machine I have found it is easy enough to freeze cake batter so you don't have to make the whole batch at one time, which makes it easy to make just one or two cupcakes at a time for a quick dessert. With this machine I don't have to worry about the consistency of the cake pop and the frosting (when it's too moist the cake pop will break through the lollipop stick or it can sometimes break when you coat your chocolate due to the weight- very frustrating!). It is recommended that you do test the machine to make sure it works properly and test your cake balls before you decide to make cake pops for any occasions."

The fork makes it easy to remove the balls from the maker and put them on a cooling rack. My wife used the injector to put melted marscapone into the gingerbread balls. The gingerbread pops took 3.5 minutes, but my wife decreased the water by about an ounce, so the batter was a little heavy. Getting the right amount of batter into each well is crucial to a good pop; too little and they're not as round, too much and you get something that looks like Saturn and there's more clean-up."
