"I FINALLY got rid of the bed bugs thanks to these mattress encasements (I bought 2; one for the mattress and the other for the box spring). My advice if you are dealing with bed bugs: use at least 2 methods CONSISTENTLY for about 2 months to get rid of them. My suggestion is to buy both the spray (the ones that worked for me were either the RAID bed bug or the ORTHO bed bug, they both contain similar ingredients) and also buy the encasements. Leave in the sun (bed bugs can't stand HEAT) or if you can't do that, get the mattress/box spring off the bed frame and spray them. NOTE: The reason why sprays only work temporarily is because bed bugs lay eggs (that we don't see because they hide them so well) that hatch every 2 weeks. It is the only way I got rid of mine after weeks of spraying and yet waking up to bed bug bites."
"I stood the mattress and box springs up against the wall, slipped these covers over the end, slid the covers down the length of the mattress and box springs, then laid the units down on the frame and pulled the cover ends together and zipped them close... easy and so effective."
"Our mattress is 14" deep so I was a little concerned the cover would be difficult to get on the mattress."
"after fogging the house, we were rid of bed bugs...... until a few weeks ago i woke up with some bites and 2 days ago while i was washing our sheets, my boyfriend saw a bunch of black specks near the flap that covers the zipper on the mattress protector."
"When you put it on your bed and put your fitted sheet over it, your nice expensive mattress turns into a cheap plastic feeling mattress. Now granted yeah I'm sure we all want to protect our mattresses for the warranty but whats the point on spending all that money on a nice mattress and ruining the hole experience by putting something like this on it."
"These don't work at all!"

"This is the first time that my child has brought home bed bugs while going to the parks in Orlando. Those pests had 2 months to reproduce before we figured out what was causing the marks on my daughter (after bringing her to a dermatologist who said it was allergies!!). (1) Diatomaceous Earth ("DE") powder with puffer, Harris Bed Bug Killer gallon SPRAY and Harris Egg Bed Bug Killer FOAM (about $9.00). I also bought and used a $49.00 Hand steamer they sell at Walmart and steamed the wooden planks, mattress and box spring. When I took apart her bed the 2nd time (this time everything was dismantled including the feet and all screws), I shockingly found most of the bugs and eggs in the wooden planks, crevices and screws beneath the box spring. Also, make sure that you re-do the room about 7-10 days to get rid of any eggs that hatched after you cleaned that you might have missed."
"Heavy enough plastic to 'give' and not tear, plenty of room for larger mattresses and zero zipper issues."
"Our mattresses over a foot thick and I had my doubts this would fit, but it fits perfectly."
"My daughter has spilled her bottle of milk on them, peed through her diapers on them, and my hubby spilled his Gatorade on them (even though I told him NOT to drink that in the bed!)."
"We unfortunately dealt with a bed bug problem during the holiday's."
"They are a soft fabric and don't crinkle and make a ton of noise like a previous mattress protector we had tried out."
"I love not having to worry about dust mites and such...and liked it so much I went and bought a second one for a family member!"
"I highly recommend them for anyone concerned about any kind of bedbugs, scabies, dustmites, etc..Thanks Linenspa!!"

"My husband is the general manager of a well know pest control company that treats bed bug infestations and they supply matress covers (that are NOT cheap and run his company $60+) to thier customers after treatments."
"I had bought one earlier, than bought this one, put them on the mattress and box springs, did everything I could possibly do to erradicate them pests, found a couple trying to hide under the zipper overlaps, destroyed them, and haven't seen any since."
"In fact my five year old has slept on top of this as though it were a fitted sheet on more than one occasion."

"Why buy when they already have bugs when they show up to your house."
"Well today I went to change my sons sheets and realized the mattress cover was stained..and so is the mattress:( I had not washed it so there was no way I compromised the cover with not following care instructions."

"One of the smartest investments one can make after getting an expensive new mattress is to buy a cover for it. A simple fabric (usually cotton or a poly-cotton blend) that has the sole job of covering the mattress top and sides to keep it clean. The top surface has a very thin layer of cotton/poly batting, not enough to significantly change the “feel” of the mattress or make it more comfortable but enough to ensure that it lays flat. Unlike a similar cover I bought recently at a retail store the sides are not elastic – the elastic is only a narrow band at the bottom edge of the side panels (the part that gets tucked under the mattress). Time will tell if the narrow elastic band of the Hanna Kay can withstand multiple washings, so it may be many months or even a year before I find out how durable this cover is and I will update this review if necessary. It’s the simplest of covers, nothing fancy, no real padding to speak of but it earned a positive rating because it fit perfectly and it was put together well."
"Fit over 14 inch mattress comfortably."
"Comfortable."
"I did not want to put the fitted sheet over the waterproof pad because it is thin and rubberized on top of foam, and I was concerned. about breathability."
"My husband and I ordered this mattress cover on Amazon and we are very happy with the purchase."
"I am very pleased with everything about these mattress pads."
"It's not a terrible mattress pad, but the gap between all the glowing reviews (expectation) and the actual mattress pad (reality) is huge."
"My guest room pad is most likely still working because it is only used one week a month."

"I bought this mattress cover for our bed in our brand new travel trailer since it was fairly inexpensive, claimed to be water proof, and had great reviews. I thought that since we weren't going to be using the trailer all that often, I didn't need to buy an expensive mattress cover and a cheap one should work just fine. I started glancing around, when I noticed glowing eyes staring at me from the lower bunk bed. After recovering from my shock, I discovered that a stray cat had found its way into the trailer, and its only opportunity to get in had been 8 days prior."
"My dog actually vomited directly on the cover after I was in the process of a sheet change, which made it perfect for me to take a few quick pictures of this cover in action! When accidents do happen I dont like to wash the whole cover in the washer, I Just hand wash the area with the dirty spot directly in the tub and hang it to dry."
"My wife went into labor a year and a half ago and that labor went very quickly....so quickly that she ended up giving birth on our bed in the presence of EMTs. We then went to the hospital where I stayed overnight with my wife and new baby girl."
"I'd read mixed reviews so upon receipt of this pad I conducted my own test: I opened the queen size pad and in one corner I draped the pad over a large stainless steel stock pot. I pulled the pad tight to simulate a flat bed, then let the water pool in the middle of the pad for about 5 min. I'll now wash according to the specific directions and conduct another test with the stock pot to see if this pad is still waterproof."
"Bought this as a mattress protector for a new foam mattress."

"The plug to attach the pad to the power cord is on the foot of the mattress, and instead of being on the side of the mattress it is located on the TOP. The other mattress warmer used in the house has the plug on the side of the mattress at the head of the bed. I thought about just reversing the pad and putting the plug at the head of the bed, but then you would feel the plug under the pillow and touch it with your fingers. Because the plug is at the foot of the bed you have to stretch the power cord from the foot to the head so you can set the temperature controls on the nightstands. I keep a lot of stuff (aka junk) under my bed, and it seems that every time I pull something from under the bed the power cord gets snagged and this in turn yanks the temperature controllers from the nightstands. But if you don't like the thought of your stretching toes touching the power plug, then look for a warmer with the plug on the side of the mattress. PS: If your controllers keep flashing that means the power plug is not pushed far enough into the plug on the mattress."
"The dials are extremely tight, and they literally take both hands to change settings. It is kind of hard to explain, but my old warmer had the connection basically where the mattress met the box spring. For the price and the warm-up/temperature maintaining performance, I'd recommend it. I bought mine evidently off season (paid a little over half the current price), and I can honestly say that there is no way I'd pay the current price, given the short life span."
"I found the choices for heated mattress pads to be confusing."
"Very warm and soft."
"This thing is a life changer."
"But my wife likes to move it up and down and you really have to use both hands and then it is still an effort, not a huge one, but more than an engineer worth his salt would have come up with when designing an ergonomically acceptable control unit."
"My wife and I really like this mattress pad."
"Lasted less than a year before the controllers started blinking and the pad no longer heated."
