"Got my new steam cleaner yesterday and couldn't wait to get started on my bathroom grout! I forgot to take photos, but I'll update this review next time if it ever gets bad again (unlikely, as I am now addicted to steaming). Today, though, I'll be using the upholstery attachment to do the patio cushions and my living room couches! The only possibly negative thing I could say about this was that the handle got pretty hot when I was steaming continuously, so I would recommend only holding the button down for a couple seconds at a time, then pausing to wipe, then repeating (it got hot when I was holding the button down for 10+ seconds). This could be easily remedied by putting on some gardening gloves or even an oven mitt if you really need to have longer bouts of steaming."
"Give it time to warm up and she blows plenty of steam for general cleaning ."
"After a month of everyday use here is what I think: Floors: This replaced my Shark Steam mop which was somewhat useful but eventually broke. The MC-1275 cuts through dried dog drool spots, stickers, and everyday dirt easily and leaves my bamboo floors looking brand new. A tip: Using a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol to lightly mist the floors before steaming leaves zero water streaking. It blasts out hard water crud from the crevices of the faucet assembly and shines up the chrome. Baby items: I used the steamer to clean two car seats and a jogging stroller."

"It finally crapped out after over 10 years, so I know a few things about steam cleaning and there are some tricks to it. I decided to buy this one because it had a big water tank and had a lot of features. Fill it about half to 75% - I use an old smallish pitcher and am able to steam a LOT without refilling. I can put the tank in the middle of my hall or kitchen and still reach everything I want to steam. I can have delicate steam for light things, vertical surfaces, or fabrics. I can have heavy steam for bathrooms and kitchen stuff, or old/ thick tough things. By the way, it only takes MAYBE fifteen minutes to heat up from a room temperature start. And I'm tired of people complaining about heat up time: for that amount of water, it isn't going to be instant obviously. My old steamer was small but rested on a shoulder strap that got heavy and banged around. Con: No place to wind the hose- it isn't too bad but it could have easily been a clip. Handle gets a little warm- after about 30 minutes to an hour, it got warm. I've cleaned my fridge, baby stuff, glass top stove, bathroom sinks, grungy doors(you know where they get funky from hands by the knob), a pan with baked on BBQ sauce, all my light switches and plates, bathroom shower, and a few other small things."
"What I love about this is that unlike the old "spray and wipe" methods of cleaning, you steam an area, and within seconds, the dirt and grime simply loosen up and is easily wiped with a microfiber towel. Using this, I'm able to clean dirty, oily door jams, door sills, door panels, fabric, dashboards, and consoles. It's a purchase you won't regret, making cleaning easier and even a bit fun, if there is such a thing. Ive found to let the steam warm, squeeze the trigger a few time to get the water running thru the machine, and then let the steam build up for about five minute. Get over the price and buy something you will find a million uses for, and isn't some under powered "puff and clean" machine like some that you see listed."

"Most come from Italy and I've read lots of horror stories about reliability and service. The two low priced units I looked at were anemic but got pretty good reviews as far as reliability and service goes. It comes with a power handle, two extension pipes and a bunch of accessories, including an assortment of brush and Scotchbrite nozzles, a steam scraper, floor cleaning attachments and a steam mop head with 2 microfiber mop heads and a graduated fill cup. All the attachments fit nicely into the included accessory bag, which also has a side pocket to hold the user manual. The first second or two of steam includes a fair amount of water but once you start using it, you don't get a ton of moisture like you do with some cheaper units. Because the tiles are cold, the steam quickly condenses to water so you need a towel to keep from having a puddle. My one complaint, and it is extremely minor, is that the yellow racing stripe decals around the wheels were peeling off when I took it out of the box."
"First off, I had a Haan steam mop cleaner that broke, conveniently, a week after the 1 yr warranty was up. I used the circular scrubber (not the wire bristle one) to clean the grout of my tile floor. You will need to make sure you have a rag with you to immediately clean up the dirty water from the steam, otherwise it will just seep back into the grout. (See my pics). Also, the tank lasts a long time without refilling -- at least an hour -- so that is never a problem for me. I can't wait to take this outside and clean off the patio furniture and kid's outdoor swing set and play house soon! Considering a cheap stick steam mop costs about $130, spending $170 for this FAR SUPERIOR product is a steal."
"The metal brushes make a big difference when cleaning grout."
"I do not know why people don't use this to clean everything."
"It shot off the unit, felt a pretty strong shock, there was a visible blue spark, and it flipped the breaker in my house. The button is blackened inside, and there is a little black mark on the outlet where it was plugged in."
"I purchased this steamer in September 2017 and within 3 weeks it started to leak water through the steam control dial."

"However,I felt compelled to review this one because when I was deciding to purchase or not, I didn't see my particular concern listed, which was: can or will it effectively clean our 10-year old grout? I have always been frustrated with how awful our grout looks, through 3children now grown and two labs and 2 cats, plus a husband with forever muddy, dirty work boots. Steam is great - heats up super quick and if general cleaning can cover most of my 800 sf of flooring in the about 20 min that the tank lasts (which was a concern because it used to take a good hour with a reg mop!). Granted I used the little scrubber brush on the back of the unit (which I do wish were a little longer), but I carefully pressed on it with my foot so it would "scrub" and reach down in the gap, and in two min time it went from black to nearly new clean. It took me some practice but so far have still found it the preferred way to go - though perhaps a scrubbie by hand could work as well if you really wanted to go that route (or had kids in need of "making amends"). This is in part due to the high steam level combined with the mop head getting saturated and no longer able to absorb the water or dirt. Again this isn't a defect simply a matter of practicality and really only an issue if you become obsessed as I did once you see the dramatic difference you can achieve with this thing! If you leave the steamer on a spot for too long, at least with my porcelain floor, the flooring retains that heat for some time and can burn your feet if you're not wearing shoes (just a matter of prob 5-10 min but again, yes it gets that hot!). Not a big deal, but surprised my feet when I happened to step on them - not a big deal for adults, but if you have crawling or walking toddlers maybe good to know (however on the plus, they now can literally eat off the floor without concern due to the sanitizing properties). While it fits beside toilets and gets in small spaces, getting the grout right up next to cabinets or walls, etc will prob require some old fashioned getting on ground and using some "Goo Gone" cleaner and scrubbing. The time lapse was approx 2min using highest steam and a little foot pressure on the scrubbie."
"I bought this steam mop to replace my shark steam mop. Heres some of the things I like and dont like about the mop: Pros: -The water tank is removable, so you dont have to put the whole mop on a table when it comes time to refil."
"Which means I don't earn much... but all the chores of a house husband. But you have to mop the porcelain floors or you can't invite guests over. I used one of those sponge mops (which you can pull back into itself to ring out the dirty water). Which means when you go to put the one screw in it mysteriously won't work. I'm not the handyman type but I know 'engineers' can paint on a little red line on the handle and unit and tell us to make them 'match' each other to avoid this mistake. On my tile floor in the kitchen and major walkways, scrubby mop/heavy steam was needed. If Bissell wanted to be the bestest -- they'd include an additional set of mop heads for the same price. Under the cabinets in my kitchen is that part of floor the normal mop could barely clean. Grime would slowly build up and the only way to fix that was paper towels, spray, and hands & knees. (This is what made me first consider taking the Bissell out for dinner and a movie.). You don't need Simple Green and Pine Sol. And that old school mopping used to make me so tired I refused to clean the upstairs linoleum bathroom... which is only a few feet wide. Sure I wish she was a cheaper date, but hey, she sure can make me steamy.). I had six or so years of it building up slowly, despite my Simple Green mopping and Bissell steaming. I basically forget my floor was matte finished, and you could clearly see a grimy 'shine'. And so my question will become IS the Bissell enough to stave off this 'gunk' that builds up -- and how long before I'm forced to scrub hands and knees style. If I can go a full year without needing to scrub so hard, I'll be satisfied but not delighted. If the Bissell prevents me from ever having to scrub the floor again, I'll be Michael Jackson Thrilled."
