Anyway, these things were getting annoying so I was thinking of making the plunge into a Thermapen, putting it on my holiday list (because its so pricey), etc- however, when I was on amazon, I saw this item, the Thermawand, a new thermometer that is clearly putting itself directly up against the Thermapen. All the following is in comparison to my use of the CDN: - its more comfortable and intuitive to use, by extending the temp sensor wand it turns itself on, when you close it, it turns off. - much bigger, easy read display. - overall length is a little longer than the CDN, so you can hold it further away from the heat. The temp reading on the Thermowand was not as "jumpy" yet it was still reading in real time, as when I held it in the pot of water, I watched it creep up second by second. I know part of the "jumpyness" could be attributed to the fact that the CDN is technically a bit more sensitive than the Thermowand- however, I'm not talking about being jumpy within a degree or so."

The sprayer does not spray a mist, only a course wide fan shaped spray. To get that fan shaped spray you need a fairly strong pull on the trigger giving you a forceful spray. While the course wide spray is fine for spraying a grill or a large frying pan, it is really easy to over spray a smaller frying pan. Because you have to pull so hard on the trigger to get the fan spray, the force of the spray will cause more of the oil to splash out of the pan. The wide fan shaped spray is useful for some things but a fine spray option would really be welcomed. I'll continue to use the one good bottle I have, but am still searching for spray bottle nirvana."
"I bought the large 18 ounce Delta Evo Spray Bottle. I loved it so much that I wanted these small 8 ounce spray bottles, mainly for the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray for a large bowl of popcorn. I also use Evo spray bottle for spraying the 'butter' on rice and vegetables on my dinner plate without the spray landing on other things nearby. The nozzles on these 8 ounce spray bottles are the exact same as the 18 ounce spray bottle. So, if you didn't like the spray nozzles on the large bottle you won't like it on these either. After getting hand cramps from my old manual opener, though, I finally opted for this Hamilton Beach model. I'd never much cared for the side-cut openers before because liquids inside the can seemed to spill more easily with the lower edge, so this higher-cutting model is much better IMO. The top push-down lever depresses easily and the magnet on the opener holds the can securely in place while it's cutting. I found that this is important because if you allow it to continue making rotations, it cuts long narrow slivers of the can which are noticeable when you remove the top (looks like a tiny strand of steel wool)."

"I was pretty sure that the silicone would hold up better in the heat, the steel reinforced handles might give added strength and the one-piece design offered a utensil that might be easier to keep clean. Then the head would gradually loosen from the rigorous cleanings and I'd start losing them in my work... *extreme pet-peeve*. When I first saw them IRL my first impression was that the use-edges of the utensils were too thick. The shortest one I place upright in the flatware basket, the longer ones I still lay horizontally in the top rack but I make sure they are 'on edge' or at least angled enough so that they drain off and not have puddles of water on them to dry at the end. The two larger items have been used almost daily now for over 18 months (Which also means they have been through the dishwasher almost daily too) and I can barely tell they have been used."
