"However, minor adjustments to tracking and blade tension make significant differences in the quality of cut, so you do have to put in the time to find the sweet spot. With my bandsaw back in action, I spent about two hours experimenting with adjustments to the blade tracking on the upper wheel and the positions of the top and bottom guide bearings to get things running smoothly. Since thinner blades are more sensitive to tracking adjustments, even a slight misalignment can cause the blade to abruptly run off the end of the wheel and either ride on the slim metal bearing surface next to the rubber tire or jump off altogether with a dangerous snap. No matter how I adjusted the upper wheel, even when I thought I had it working properly, the blade would eventually drift when the blade was properly tensioned. This should have been set properly at the factory, is harder to adjust than the upper wheel, and the process of adjusting it is not explained in the instructions. The left/right adjustment of the lower wheel seemed fine so I did not touch the screws to either side of the axle, however the top and bottom screws set the vertical aligment of the wheel and thus, determine how well the blade centers and tracks. To shift the blade further INWARD on the lower wheel (closer to the rear casing), loosen the top screw and tighten the bottom screw in approximately 1/4-turn increments (turning them both counter-clockwise as you look DOWN on the bolts from above the worktable). To shift blade further OUTWARD on the lower wheel (closer to the door cover), do the reverse: loosen the bottom screw and tighten the top screw (again, turn both clockwise as you look DOWN on the bolts from above the worktable). The really tricky thing here is that adjustments to the bottom wheel tracking also affect the top wheel tracking, so you have to get the top wheel tracking well, then spin it to see how things ride on the lower wheel. Then see how it affects the top wheel tracking and adjust the upper wheel tracking to compensate. In my case, I found that the ideal setup has the gullet of the blade aligned almost exactly in the center of the top wheel and slightly further back (inward) on the lower wheel (about 1/16" closer to the rear casing than it is on the top wheel). Getting such a narrow blade to track reliably is further complicated by the fact that, if the tension is set too high or too low, it can abruptly wander and skip off the wheels. In other words, you need proper tracking to find the proper tension adjustment, and you need proper tension to find the proper tracking adjustments. Moreover, the tires/blade bearing surfaces of the upper and lower wheels are about half as wide as they would be on larger 14" bandsaws, so there is little tolerance for error when a blade begins to wander. The doors, the table, and the adjustable blade guides do a good job capturing the blade, so that is some comfort, even if it doesn't eliminate the intimidation factor of setting up this saw. To test out the quality of cut, I ran a 5-3/4" tall piece of 1/2" thick plywood (approx 9" long) through to see how straight the 1/8" blade could cut. Keep in mind that the 1/8" blade is the smallest and therefore LEAST STRAIGHT CUTTING BLADE you can install on this machine. Nevertheless, with that narrow blade installed, cutting slowly, and nearly maxxing out the depth of cut, I was able to use the cheap fence to cut a REMARKABLY straight line through a 9" length of plywood with LESS than 1/64" of drift to either side of the infinitesimal glue line between the plys! To sum up: Be prepared for tedious adjustment headaches whenever you install a new blade--especially whenever you install a blade thinner than 3/8", which makes the already-sensitive tracking adjustments even more exasperating to dial in. I was tempted to give it 4 stars based on its brilliant performance-for-the-dollar; however, ease of adjustment counts for a lot on a bandsaw, and this one suffers from hyper-sensitive controls, lower wheel misalignment from the factory that had to be corrected by trial-and-error, poor tension control design, no tension markings/scale, and relatively narrow wheels that make thin 1/8" blades very hard to get set up right and holding center."
"But after dozens of you tube videos on properly setting up a bandsaw, the next day was a pleasure. Properly setting up this band saw is a bit of a nightmare, but afterwards it performed like the champ that many other reviewers said it was."
"Easy to set up and once you learn the machine, blade changes take minutes."
"Can't compare Wen to other brands but I am real pleased with this one."
"Very good value."
"Great bandsaw, wish I could say the same for the on/off switch that crapped out after 3 minutes use, had to bypass and hardwire it."
"I had to adjust the upper wheel tracking and the blade guides but once all the adjustments were made the saw performs very well. Tracking needed to be adjusted and the saw is very sensitive to adjustment. Would be nice to have a tension guide or a tension quick release rather than having to back off the tension knob. I deducted one star for the multiple adjustments needed to get it set up correctly, work light glare, and lack of tension quick release."

"no ammount of adjustment can fix this, I took the entire thing appart, and determined it is a problem with the plastic mold. if you are only going to be drilling thin peices of material and dont need real accuracy this wont bother you."
"When I was looking through all the reviews I couldn't find anyone mentioning if it works with the WEN rotary tool."
"It's a little flimsy, but for very few uses and basic drill pressing on light projects, it will work."
"This is a beautifully crafted tool, that has been obviously carefully engineered by Dremel. Thank you Dremel for so many decades of producing fine, useful tools for us DIY craftsmen."
"In addition to this I would have liked to see a way to lock the spring loaded drill press in a down position for when you are using it to cut or route areas out, this way you could drill down, lock it in position at a set height and carry on with your cut rather than having to loosen and adjust the entire mechanism. In the end this is a great accessory if you need an affordable solution for using your dremel as a drill press, or if you need a vice etc."
"The first time I tried using it: I attached the rotary tool and lowered it on a small plastic part."
"As you pull the level, you can visibly see the dremel traveling left to right. I'm so disappointed with dremel quality lately; it's like they relabeled the HFT imported junk and didn't quality control any of it."
"I've attached a picture and both holes were made with a 1/8" drill bit at different speeds to show the horrible lack of precision."

"Note that EVERYTHING you need is in the kit: a DeWalt router, motors, electronics, even software for the controller. I'm not an experts but every part that I kner about personally was of good quality (for instance, the DeWalt router). Well, I ended up buying a DC motor control to adjust the speed of the router---30.000 RPM is too fast for aluminum, but be aware if you do this that power decreases as the router slows and you have to slow down feeds. I've been wanting a CNC router for years but found other kits too expensive."
"It is made of wood and precision suffers a lot because of the Z axis assembly that does not align with the Z axis shaft perfectly (more about this below) and because the whole router assembly flexes on the gantry. The result is that when I send a set of commands in a G-Code file (more on this below) that will cut a square on acrylic by cutting 0.05 of an inch deep at 5 inches per minute (which is a very slow speed) , the corners are not perfectly 90 degrees because the router is not perfectly perpendicular when it changes direction due to the flex (more on accuracy below). 3) The Z axis motor and rod coupler is cut in a spiral to avoid off center movement but that does not help enough as I am unable to align the Z motor shaft with the Z threaded rod perfectly and you can see the motor (and a little the router) move back and forth while the router is moving up and down. That is very annoying and I believe that it can even affect accuracy (on deep cuts) since the router is slightly oscillating while it is moving up and down. There are 2 pieces that hold the belt ends on the back of the router assembly that you should make sure that the “teeth” cuts are on the upper side. If you put these on wrong, you will have hard time correcting them after the router assembly is mounted on the rails and you are about to put the belt on. If you cross connect the X1 and X2, when later you “Home” the machine, the gantry assembly will run the opposite direction and there will be no switch there to stop it which will result in damage to the belts. In the end I was told that they would send me a new board if I wanted but I was able to square put the board on squared to the machine frame so I am good for now. Also note that I routed the cabling away from the "Home" side of the router and made a small L shaped bracket out of aluminum to mount the power supply in a way that I can see the power light (see pictures). In this case while I am cutting 1/4 inch thick acrylic, when the router gets the command to change direction the cutter bit is not all the way to the edge due to the flex of the router and that results to a square with rounded and not 90 degree corners. G90 (Absolute positioning). G20 (Values are in inches). G17 (XY selection). F5.00 (When the command is "G1" the speed of the movement, a.k.a "Feed Rate", will be 5" per minute). G0 Z0.0500 (Raise the Z axis 0.05" above zero, a.k.a "Z Safe"). G0 X-2.0000 Y-2.0000 (Move X and Y to the lower left corner). G1 Z-0.0300 (Lower the Z axis 0.03" under the surface so the rest of the commands cut 0.03" deep). G1 Y2.0000 (Move Y to the upper left corner). G1 X2.0000 (Move X to the upper right corner). G1 Y-2.0000 (Move Y to the lower right corner). G1 X-2.0000 (Move X to the lower left corner which is the starting point). G1 Z-0.0600 (Move Z axis deeper to 0.06"). ...The rest should repeat the same commands until the square is cut as deep as the thickness of the material. Now, I found that the square comes out better if I write G-Code that cuts 4 straight lines lifting the Z axis at the end of each line but it is still slightly off square. To compensate for that, I push the gantry (X axis) tight to home and then power on the laptop which locks the motors and keeps the gantry squared. ***Update 11/23/2017: I was finally able to cut perfect squares and circles on acrylic using these SHINA Titanium Coat Carbide End Mill Engraving Bits. These cutters are very sharp and cut acrylic without putting too much pressure on the router and the gantry. Still, I had to cut in 0.0300 increments and feed rate of 10 inches per minute which takes a lot of time for such a simple task***. So, if you want this machine to engrave words and shapes on wood, it may serve you well."
