Documentation for those not familiar with how these are used are sent to you via the company in a follow up email, good instructions as well as a list of hints on other methods to help in extracting broken screws and bolts - a nice touch - as there is always alternatives to various situations and one size does not fit all. Brass is soft, you need a delicate touch, as in do not run your drill on full revolutions when attempting to back one out."

"At some point along the way someone else had stripped the screws; I had tried everything to remove it, all of the tricks - heat, cold, WD40, wacking on the screws to loosen the rust bonds, you name it. The screws were originally square head screws which concerned me as one of the reviews I read here said this extractor wouldn't work. I got said screws out - here's how (for an uber rusty situation with a square head screw! Use the NEXT size up on side B to remove the screw - use ample pressure, drill in REVERSE, on the lowest speed setting. Keep ample pressure on the screw, gradually increasing the torque/speed setting until your screw comes out. If the bit starts to spin in the screw head, stop, hit the screw a couple of times with a hammer, drop your torque/speed, apply more pressure while drilling, and repeat."
