"Hate to break the news to some of you people who thought buying the BG10 was a better deal than the 86T3. The 86 comes with a 5 year warranty, a black power chord, and an accessory kit. The BG10 comes with a one year warranty, a yellow detachable power chord , and no accessory kit ( must be purchased separately for an additional 55 dollars). I have seen several reviews on this thread where people say that they bought the "Commercial " BG10 over the "Professional" 86T3 because the BG10 has 2 motors whereas the 86 has only one motor."
"The small picture I posted should give you an idea of 1-2 passes. Every unit I've used has had annoying tanks that are hard to put back or take off or plastic pieces that fall off, break, you forget how to unclip and just a hassle to take down and fill with water. It's not heavy to move so you can have the kids or your wife do it :). This is the type of carpet cleaner that will get you laid."
"Very easy to operate, and it has paid for itself many times over due to its ease of use!"
"I like having the separate clean water and dirty water."
"My old carpet cleaner years ago left lots of water, this one does not and dries in only a few hours."
"We love this machine - it is easy to use and really cleans the carpet."
"Does exactly what it's supposed, no disappointments."

"One thing I hated on my old machine was that if I didn't use all of the water / detergent solution in the tank, then I had to toss it and I was therefore wasting carpet cleaning solution. I love that the handle for the water / detergent tank is situated higher than the water fill hole, as I'm able to hold the tank and fill it with hot water from my tub faucet without getting any hot water on my hand. I was stunned at how much crap I was pulling out of the carpet simply with hot water. Dirt, dog hair, other dog-related things that I didn’t and don’t want to see… With the wash / rinse switch, you can go over an area several times with clean water to pull out the "easy" stuff before you start using the detergent, which really helps to limit the amount of detergent you use. Bad because it’s inconvenient, but good because that means there’s less hot water in the tank getting cold (as I don’t believe this model has an integrated heater for the water). I feel like the water tanks are easy to lift and move around because they’re not so heavy with water. I figured out that with using several passes of plain hot water to pull out the “easy” stuff, I can cut the detergent with ½ water and make it go twice as far and just as effective, so I’ll definitely be doing that in the future. I will likely be using it to simply “wet vacuum” (using only water) the carpet at least every month or so, especially in my son’s room, since it’s so easy to use. Vacuum the carpet THOROUGHLY before you start carpet cleaning. I added 2-3 small spoonfulls of Borax detergent booster to my clean water tank. If you do add Borax, add the powder to the tank before you add water, then fill it about halfway with water and shake / slosh the water around to be sure all of the powder is dissolved. I’ll be curious to see how long the carpets stay looking clean, as many detergents leave behind a reside that over time attracts more dirt and grime to the carpet, making it look dingy and dirty sooner (so you’ll keep buying carpet cleaning solution…). 6. Before I switch the machine over to “wash”, I use at least full tank of clean water (with Borax) to dampen the area and pull out as much “easy” grime as possible. My carpet was so nasty that in one section I went over it 4 times with Borax water before I started using the detergent. After going over the section with detergent, go over it at least one time (more is better) with Borax water again to be sure you pull all of the detergent out of the carpet. As I mentioned before, if you leave detergent on the carpet it will attract dirt and grime and make your carpet look dirty sooner. After you’ve done all of your “wet” passes, go back and forth over the area several times without pulling the trigger to suck as much water as you can out of the carpet – until you see very little water being sucked into the dirty tank. This obviously reduces the drying time, but also ensures that you’ve pulled out all of the detergent or other cleaner from the carpet and you’re left with soft, plush carpet underfoot."
"First, the unit leaks from both the clean water tank and the dirty water tank. My very first time filling the water tank I could see a very small leak at the top."
"I bought this initially to take up some dried urine stains from my pup who sneakily peed in a corner several times."
"The water extraction is excellent on this machine too, allowing the carpets and furniture to be dry much more quickly, leaving them looking almost as good as brand new."
"On top of that the soap solution stays separate until its used so you dont waste extra left over fluid because its not sitting in tepid water for days/weeks at a time."
"Not a fan of this machine. I've had both Hoover and Bissell carpet cleaners and purchased this machine because it supposedly did a better job of extraction. This machine is pretty cheap but I’d recommend buying a better quality machine or renting a heavy-duty machine, which is know is a pain."
"The screws rust inside the housing, and so the one screw that powers the brush mechanism shredded off and is not repairable the way the unit is designed, a new brush assembly is 65.00."

"People are knocking it for poor battery performance and lack of suction, however, keep in mind, this does not replace a full size vacuum. As for battery performance - I've used it 3-4 times before I decided to charge it; not because it died or loses power, but just personal preference, and that is not an inconvenience at all. People also complain about the corner brushes not on the newer model, however, this has not prohibited me from sucking things up that were nearly touching the baseboards - anything tighter, you would need an actual broom/pan. In all, keep in mind what people are rating this low for and what they're using it for - for me, it was to clean up the food left over (mostly) in the kitchen and has been a great addition."
"My husband and I purchased one of these Shark Cordless Carpet Sweepers and couple of years ago. I have a bigger vacuum I use weekly and I have cleaning ladies come in every couple of weeks to do the heavy cleaning and wanted to use the Shark regularly around the cat's litter box, the kitchen and a quick run over the carpeting especially fuzz and things that tend to show on a light carpet. I reading some of the reviews, I realized that others have had the same problem with that particular sweeper, so I decided to go back with the Shark. some said it only picked up going forward and when you pulled it back, it put what you had just swept up back on the floor. It picks up well both on my hardwood kitchen floor, my tile bathroom floor and carpeting through the rest of the place. Also several reviewers complained about the suction, but since this is a carpet SWEEPER and not a VACUUM I don't believe that it has suction so to speak of . My daughter and her fiancé bought me a Eureka vacuum for the carpeting (the Shark vacuum with the motor up by the top of the handle is a real back killer and the collection cup is too small and you have to take it apart into five pieces just to get to the cup and one of the filters is cardboard so it is going to be sold the vacuum that is not this sweeper), so I don't need to use this sweeper too often for the carpeting now."
"This sweeper really picks up a lot of dirt on my wooden floors and carpet."
"Works perfectly for my small apartment."
"I use this everyday and works great."
"It's light weight and easy to use."
"I like the carpet sweeper however it was listed as used very good condition."
"DISAPPOINTED...TAKES SOOO LONG TO RECHARGE BATTERY."

"I'm always on the lookout for tools that make my weekly house cleanings easier and/or faster. Here's what I like and don't like so much about it so far (I'll update this review if my experience changes over time - one edit added to the end): Pros: 1. I saw dust bunnies come from a few inches away to get sucked into the vacuum, which doesn't always happen with uprights. I reviewed the quick start guide to make sure I didn't miss anything, but this is one of the easiest vacuums I've assembled and disassembled for cleaning. Not only does everything snap in and out easily, the attachment points are clearly labeled in large, friendly letters that I don't need my bifocals to read. Other vacuums I've used take a lot longer to get used to, which seems trivial until you spend a couple hours pushing the wrong buttons because you're not paying attention. The swivel head does a very good job of cornering in any direction, and the handle bends down far enough to get a decent distance under furniture. While I was cleaning the first time, I knocked a full glass of milk all over the floor. The dirty water cannister has lots of places for pet hair to collect, and I'm sure not going to wash that all down the sink to cause clogs. The best bet is rinsing it with a hose in the yard, but paper towels over the trash can also work. In my experience, washing rugs without proper extraction actually makes them get dirtier a lot faster. The multi-surface worked fine on my tile and vinyl bathroom floors, but it left my hardwoods really streaky. I ended up substituting my Bona Professional Hardwood Concentrate, 1 Gallon, which is what my floor manufacturer and installer both recommended anyway. The solution tank goes empty a few minutes before you realize it (the brush stays wet and trigger light comes on, so it looks like it's working), so you'll probably have to go back over some areas. The dirty water tank is also supposed to make a higher-pitched sound when it's full, but I've never been able to tell any difference. While I like the logical arrangement, it's MUCH too easy to hit the trigger and/or the hardwood buttons inadvertently. Many, many times I'll be moving the machine, or trying to get under something, or just cleaning, and I'll see the front lights go on to tell me I'm hitting the water trigger. My favorite vacuum (if one can have a favorite vacuum) is the Shark NV650 (current model Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away TruePet (NV752)), which has spoiled me with its excellent attachments, headlight, and lift-away handle that lets me get under everything in my house. Overall, I'd love to see Bissell improve this cleaner enough to mean I really don't need a separate vacuum. I still pull out a regular vacuum for the area rugs, and to use the attachments for more thorough cleaning because of this unit's limitations."
"For the filter after I clean the house I rinse off the debris and soak it in water with dawn dish soap overnight then rinse and let air dry and no more smell to it and it looks brand new."
"I’ve used Bona on my hardwood for years and although it looked pretty good I know it wasn’t clean. I’ve also used a Hoover Floormate about once a month and although it did clean the floor more than just spraying and spreading Bona around weekly, it just seemed to put too much water out on the hardwood. (Not for deep cleaning though). Now the disgusting part – The dirty water reservoir! The unit is also very easy to use, gets close to baseboards, swivels to get under things and is light."
"The motor assembly is now junk because it can not be repaired (by design) , even by a professional. The complex and powerful motor unit is made of a very easy to break plastic that appears similar to Bakelite a thermo-setting phenol formaldehyde resin, formed from a condensation reaction of phenol with formaldehyde," if it is Bakelite -. again not environmentally friendly." I am left with a pile of useless parts and not determined to repair this unit because the first bearing was destroyed with moisture in only 60 days."
