"After reading the reviews on this wonderful little grill, I hesitated in buying it online so bought it at Wal-Mart in case I wanted to return it immediately. Clean up time using hot, sudsy dish water in the sink for all three pieces of the grill plates and grease tray takes me one minute and ten seconds! The truth is that it a smaller grill and even though it would not be suitable for a family of four in my opinion, but I would still highly recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Two, Five and one half inch by Four inch Rib eye, Top Sirloin, Chopped Sirloin, or other kinds steaks arranged side by side lengthwise from the top to the bottom on the grill surface. Three, Three one quarter pound (or larger), hamburger patties arranged in two rows with two on the top and one on the bottom of the grill surface. Three slices of thick cut bacon arranged in rows from the top to the bottom of the grill horizontally. But I think that the measurements I have listed above should give you a good idea of the sizes of foods that you can cook on the grill. The flavor will already be soaked up into the pours of the meat so drying it won't change the taste after you cook it. I have found this to be 100% true in the past after I ruined several pieces over a short time in the dishwasher and they stuck like glue when I tried to use them from then on. I looked at a small single serving George Foreman grill at Wal-Mart and it was rated at 650 Watts so it could have a longer 30" cord."

"The initial deal-breaker was less the alarming amount of caustic smoke during the first preheat but rather how heavy the top is and how dry the resulting hockey puck which used to be a burger. If need be, you can also prop the front up using something under the handle, I haven't needed to do that yet but I'm only making 2 1/4lb 80/20 frozen burgers and now they aren't hockey pucks but juicy and with wonderful grill marks. So try the rolled up foil trick and remember you can also prop up the front via the handle to let the plates just touch the food. See the pictures and notice that from the side view you can see there is a range of places ranging from all the way at the back to all the way at the front to put the food. Also, when grilling hot dogs or other cylindrical sausages and placing them horizontally, prop up the front feet by 3/4" and the fat will still drain but they won't try to roll off down the front when you open the grill. This raising of the front feet also has the effect of the top not exerting as much pressure on the food, assuming you use my "fix" of putting the foil log at the back. Other than the smoke on first preheat, I'm happy with this indoor grill."

To be honest I have been to the local party store and checked out their commercial grade paragon machine that they use for rentals and big events. I can tell you now, that the difference between this machine and the other higher priced models are extremely miniscue if any. The Roosevelt 8oz is built with heavy glass doors, and stainless steel. The kettle mechanism is built and no different than the other higher end models. The only thing that caused me a slight problem.. and I still don't know why, was lining up the kettle with the two holders, and turning pin. Now, I have read some reviews where some people mention the doors not aligning properly with the top, or sealing correctly. My bottom flip drawer opens and closes properly, it does not pop out of place as some have mentioned. I have not removed the kettle, but did not find it a nightmare to wipe completely clean. If you are buying this machine to use mostly in a commercial setting where you are making tons of popcorn for a lot of people? Now, in the fairly short time owning the machine, we have used it more than the average family would. The MAIN ingredients to use with this popper to achieve this is COCONUT OIL, and FLAVACOL seasoning. I find it way too expensive, and found buying a 9 pound jug of coconut oil (Snappy popping coconut oil $19.99) and a quart of (Flavacol seasoning $3.99 ) and 12 pound bag of Kernels $14.99. Trial and error with your brand of kernels can yield different result. The directions for the Roosevelt would recommend using a slightly smaller portion of kernels to the mix. Of course I cheated and was given access to a small storage room in the local AMC theatre and went out and bought the same ingredients and products."

The cons: First, many of them (especially the larger sizes) are not packaged well for shipping, and they have arrived in broken condition. The water got sucked out of the ham and into the bottom of holding reservoir of the vacuum chamber. You hold that sucker down until you start seeing juices come out of the meat headed toward the sealer machine, then lift your finger and it stops. Maybe bump it quickly a few more short bursts until the juice gets all the way up to the machine, then hit seal. You have full variable control over the amount of suction desired with the pulse button, not just "normal" and "low" settings like most other machines."

Both of these shelving racks have been strapped to the wall with anti-tip brackets not only to prevent a child or toddler from knocking them over but also because we don't have them the long way against the walls to either side of our front door- we have them the short way making an almost hallway when you come in and I could see even a clutsy adult knocking a rack over. Regardless, the manufacturer says to put heavier items on the bottom and light items on the top but that wouldn't have worked out for us. This rack is only a couple inches shorter than me and with the amount of stuff we have on either of them it would probably kill me if it tipped over on me."

I don't know if we can name other businesses, but at the big box store with orange logo, you can find, in packages containing 2 casters, new 2" casters that are metal framed and have a 5/16-18 threaded stem. POSSIBLE solution #3 Metal casters with threaded stems come predominately with 3/8-16 threads. I still am not sure, but think it might be possible to open up the original threaded hole a little more that I did with the 9/32" drill bit and go larger so as to tap for 3/8-16 threads common on casters big box stores carry."
