"I've mowed the lawn, gone to walmart, done misc yard work. Did put a towel behind my knee because the strap was hurting my leg while I was mowing. If I'm making a quick trip to the bathroom I use the front handle instead of strapping everything up. Once your straps are adjusted, there are quick release buckles to loosen the tension then just slide them off. If your going to be no weight bearing for a long period of time or just have the money to blow. The front lip the knee rest against is too short and the padding has pulled down. The crutch is also making a lot of squeaking noises now when I walk. I may purchase one of those lamb skin seat belt shoulder pads to slide over the leg strap."
"Ease of assembly (5=best). FL: 3 – a bit kludgy, requires inserting bottom bracket into brace and this does not go together easily. Knee & shin pad and thigh straps already assembled. I may be unique that I liked a tight fit of this pad on my knee compared to others and FL was kind enough to replace them but this needs to be improved. Note that even if the pads fail, you are still locked in at the thigh and indeed the device could be used without the pads – however the failure during loaded use is enough to throw off your balance. Price (5=better price). FL: 2 –this is over $500 – price gouging imo. iW: 4 – this is @$150 – quality product for a fair price. Ease to put on: (5=easiest). FL: 4 – slides easily on, lock down the velcro straps and done - fast. iW:3 – not as easy to put on and lock down the three straps and adjust. A – the bottom bracket for macro-adjustment and B – the thigh straps for microadjustment as well as knee and shin pads. Stability: (5=best). FL: 4 – with the thigh straps and knee & shin pads I felt securely locked in. iW: 2 – the bottom pad (actually two pads) where the device touches the ground is rounded front to back I suppose so that you can roll into and out of your gait. Ease to Walk (5=easiest). FL: 4 – FW was a clear winner here – more natural gate and spring. iW: 2 – I was much less secure in the iW and fatiqued. iW: 2 – not as stable going up and best to turn around to go down the stairs backwards as bad leg bottoms out on the stair behind it if going forward– can only do step-meet. Driving: (5=easiest). FL: 4 – left it on while driving a minivan and also a sports sedan. iW: 0 – have to remove it. Riding in Car (5=easiest). FL: 4 – left it on in a Range Rover, a Taxi, and a Honda Fit. iW: 1 – best to take it off. Sitting Down: (5=easiest). FL: 5 – leave it on – stick your leg down or put it on a chair. iW: 2 – best to take it off. Summary: FL: Hated the price: concerned about quality: customer support was good (although I have heard this is a problem for many), loved to use it."
"Many of the medical professionals I have met have never seen or heard of the iWalk2.0, so I always show them the YouTube video on my smart phone! : (see attached pics). (1) Middle Strap- I have found this to be the most important strap to have firmly adjusted and secured, however this causes chaffing to inside of knee when used for active jobs for any period of time. I made a makeshift chaffing sleeve with a short piece of pipe insulation from Home Depot."

Hugo Mobility 721-785 Hugo Lightweight Adjustable Aluminum Crutches, Medium Adult
Contoured crutch tips that feature a curved stair deflector at their tip, provide exceptional traction while a built in metal ring protects against premature wear. Hugo's Lightweight Adjustable Aluminum Crutches have washable hand grips, made from a natural sponge cushioning that absorb impact shock and are perspiration resistant. Hugo Crutches feature thick cushioned underarm pads.
Reviews
"The underarm/hand padding is rubbery, with a little more give than on some other crutches I've previously used, which I find a bit more comfortable (let's be honest, crutches are never going to be comfortable). The crutch tips seem to grip well and the edges adjust nicely to different angles/uneven ground. The tips are showing minor wear around the edges, but traction is still just fine."
"The pads are normal - meaning it will hurt your hands and arm pits, so I highly recommend buying some kind of extra padding such as Crutcheze."
"I'd advise getting some quick advice on fitting and use of any crutches whenever possible, such advice can help you maintain safer useage of the crutches."
"I have had to have crutches several times in my life, and have never been very good with them, but I think these are easier to use due to lightweight nature - they aren't fighting you as much."
"Because of that the rubber knobs on the bottom wore out in just 3 days from the sides meeting the cement rather than the bottom center."
"They are easily adjusted as to length by squeezing two ball bearings along the length of the leg. I only need one and will give the other to my neighbor who has bad knees."
"I bought these partially due to price and they are ok overall but probably would not be comfortable for long use."
"I went to the hardware store and tried to replace as my uncle is on two prosthetic legs and has to use crutches, and one crutch is solid -- the hardware is still falling apart in the other."

"I purchased these as well as the matching crutcheze bags for the sides of the crutches. These products have been an absolute lifesaver, not only do they work amazing on my crutches I recently bought a knee scooter and they work for that amazingly too (except for the under arm portion)."
"Pros/. Crutcheze comes with both the underarm and the padding for your hands. I use the underarm padding sometimes but I always use the padding for your hands."
"You should lower your crutches at least an inch, as they are thick pads and will catch on your clothes, especially if wearing a coat or loose sweatshirt."
"I live in a small two story home so a wheelchair is impractical, and because of arthritis in the knees, I cannot use a knee scooter :-( The first week on crutches was unbearable- Sore underarms and the palms of my hands were on fire."
"After having surgery that required me to be on crutches with no weight on one leg for 2 months, I found that after a couple of weeks, my underarms and palms were so sore, I dreaded using the crutches."
"I bought these quickly after breaking my hip in a half marathon race (age 30)."
"I primarily used a knee scooter to get around with my injury, but there were certain intances where crutches were the only option, so while I did use these daily, it wasn't all the time."

"Excellent product!"
"Yeah, I know there is another similar item on the market but this thing will make you look too cute for words."
"The added stability of the quad pod makes her feel more secure when walking......and she can easily drag things across the floor, etc."
"First off, this cane tip is a little heavier than regular cane tips so if you have significant weakness in lifting things, you might want to see if lifting your cane with a half pound thing on the end of it is manageable. What I really love about this is that when the cane does fall over, and all canes do, all I have to do is put my foot on this cane tip and up comes the cane right into my hand."
"A little difficult to get on to end of my cane at first."
"BOUGHT A SPARE TIP FOR MY HUGO CANE WHICH I LOVE!"
"When I finally put it on a cane I had, it was really stable."
"- it requires that the actual cane to be kind of thick ( I guess 3/4", I don't have the cane here to measure it)."

Best Walking Canes

HurryCane Freedom Edition Folding Cane with T Handle, Original Black
To find the perfect fit that will provide lasting comfort, adjust the cane height between 30.5" to 37.5" by simply pushing the button located on the handle. Cutting-edge, patented technology allows the HurryCane, the #1 selling cane in America, to feel like a seamless extension of the body.
Reviews
"The HurryCane is my favorite, all-purpose cane because it is comfortable to grip, lightweight, pivots to make walking more natural, and will stand on its own, with careful placement on select flooring. With careful placement, it will stand on level surfaces, such as wood floors and flat tile, but sometimes it still falls over in this setting. However, the ability to have the HurryCane stand alone allows you to use both hands for something else (like finding that item at the bottom of your purse). My husband calls it my "Ninja cane," because of the way it folds and unfolds, so it has added a little humor to life as well. Basic cane (shown on left in picture): this was issued by the hospital a few years ago as I was getting out of a wheelchair after pelvic fractures. Overall, unless you need an added feature like the light, storage, or sit-to-stand assistance, I recommend that you spend your money on the HurryCane. Unlike the HurryCane, the quad cane will stand alone on gravel and in the grass, although it occasionally falls over if I place it on an incline."
"I really like it so much more than my regular quad cane BUT there are some thing you need to be aware of before you buy the advantages of the cane outweighed the disadvantages for me but judge for yourself. Here you go: 1: The base of the cane is a bit smaller than the regular quad cane and for me it has a harder time sanding on its own, it falls frequently. No more struggling to get the cane in the car or walking without the cane to the backseat to get the cane you just get in fold it up and put it in you floorboard or even in the handy carry case it came with."
"I had to use that because my balance was poor and I needed the support from this type of cane. If a cane were set on a large acorn or a pine cone it would roll & you may lose your balance. I also recommended they have a clamping device on the cane to hold it in the folded position. The Freedom Edition HurryCane has feet attached more securely and they implemented my clamping device idea. It is lighter, and it folds easier When I send their customer support a message they usually get back to me the same day! Another example of how committed to customer satisfaction they are is they asked me if I knew of anyone who would benefit from having a HurryCane. I told them I have a friend named Floyd who I felt would greatly benefit from a HurryCane. I know this has been a long review but I wanted to make sure I tell you about the fantastic features this All-Terrain Cane has. The other mechanical problem I had with it was the pin that is used to set the height was sheered off on day. When I checked my email Monday morning two associates with HurryCane had apologized profusely for what happened & they told me that they had already addressed the issue with that pin. I'm only telling you that if you want one that is guaranteed to work exactly like it is described you should buy it directly from the HurryCane company."

"You get also the option to use 3 AAA and performance is no different between the two. -Intensely BRIGHT...I definitely don't recommend (DO NOT) shine in eyes cause this is seriously bright. -No sharp edges on the defensive cone...I have had this problem in the past where the edges for the defensive strike cone are very sharp and tear things up...this flashlight has a nice smooth transition strike cone just rounded enough to keep from rubbing wrong but will hurt if bluntly jabbed. -The 5 modes is so very nice and after clicking it on you can switch between modes with half presses of the button without actually turning it off (Modes: High, Medium, Low, Strobe, SOS) It is worth mentioning that after a few seconds of being off it goes right back to High the next time its turned on."
"The power button is soft with great feedback when you press it."
"the feature to zoom in or out was so easy to use i held the flash light in one hand and used the other to adjust the light i needed."
"Item works great and is the same if not better than the 40$ flashlights that are advertised on TV."
"The Wsky LED tactical Flashlight is the best Flashlight I have ever owned."
"I recieved these a few days ago and have been using them around the house, but last night was the first I was able to put them to the test outside."
"Pros: The way the light cycles through modes is easy and intuitive. The multiple brightness levels make selecting the right power for the task simple. The push/pull focus is much easier than twisting like on other lights."
"I highly recommend this flashlights !"
