Reviews
"I have become addicted to Southwire tools and test equipment."
"Great tool, wish I had one sooner."
"The best multi-meter i've ever owned I use the bluetooth on this unit in real world applications all the time."
"OVERALL: I really wanted to love this meter, but bugs in the data collection and file transfer are unacceptable at this price. Compared to my old Radio Shack Extech 22-816 with its dim gray LCD, this thing is a sight to behold. It feels tough, like it could bounce around on a real jobsite without breaking. And the lithium battery is replaceable so when it finally wears down you don't have to chuck the whole thing. The meter ran for several hours after a mere 10 minute charge. The screen is soft plastic and shows faint scratch lines after being cleaned with flannel. I pried open the four segments of its internal post using the pointy tip of the negative probe, and that fixed it. Which is a problem for doing overnight data acquisition, because it means you need a full charge before starting. See below: BUGS. ---. Disclaimer: I'm using the Android app on a Google Nexus 4 phone. Word to the wise: try powering off/on the multimeter just before telling the phone to search for nearby devices. Three times I got to 98% complete on the import after 10 bleepin' minutes, and it stopped. I finally managed to get the one big file loaded by deleting every other saved recording on the meter, then re-importing. I can't for the life of me guess how they goofed, but even though the meter is set to 20NOV2016, the data file gives the date as "12-11-0186". Sure, you can figure it out if you think about it, but it's one more bug making the whole data integration feel like an afterthought. Sure, the battery won't last much longer than that, but assuming the battery could be made to last longer why hardcode a 10 hour limit on the duration of data collection in the phone app? .. III) If you select max/min before data logging you will get readings with precision of FOUR digits after the decimal instead of only one. TLDR; this is a very useable, functional, powerful, beautiful meter suitable for professional work and even basic data acquisition."
"Item is as described and works perfectly."
"I primarily use it for DC power, when working on my motorcycles and installing new electrical components. The multimeter is easy to ready, intuitive to operate, and feels like it can survive some bumps and falls without breaking. It would have been nice is they would have made the probes long enough to stick in the outlet and stay without holding them."
"One person said it didn't have a glass or plastic cover over the display, well that is wrong. I have seen much worse, but the meter isn't very fast under the continuity setting and that can be related to the probes. It seems to be well made and the rechargeable battery is a nice thing to have. The fuse is easy to access under the battery cover as well. If you are looking for a quality meter with a color display, then this is really the only game in town, as I have never seen a color display on any portable DVOM."

"I am lucky enough to work in the same building as our test lab, one of the most repeatable and precise multimeter measuring and calibration facilities in the world (we make automotive, military, and medical products. I didn't have a great deal of time in the test lab, nor did Jon, the Lead Evaluation Engineer that helped me, so I tested two metrics that are often used but difficult to verify without the right gear: Capacitance and temperature. Note that multimeters vary somewhat from unit to unit. 100.2nF on a 100nF test -- a little high. 501.6nF on a 500nF test -- dead on (within the test unit's tolerance). 0.58nF in a 0.60nF test -- just a few percent off for a capacitance value less than a tenth of its rated minimum! TEMPERATURE: I used a quick test tool (accurate to within 0.1c) instead of our more advanced gear (accurate and repeatable to within 6 hundredths of a degree for a wide range) because multimeters are generally nowhere near that accurate. 95.2°F (35.1°C) on a 100°F (37.8°C) test. 4.5F (-15.3°C) on a 0°F (-17.8°C) test. The unit was within 5°F (about 2.8°C) on temperature tests. -----. Compared to a Fluke 179 (see previous note), the Southwire multimeter is spec'd as less accurate and it is slightly accurate in the real world, at least for the two metrics I measured."
"It feels super solid in the hand, the dial clicks are positive and I can turn the dial with one hand while the multimeter is on the bench without the entire multimeter twisting as I turn the dial. It's really an excellent addition to this otherwise already excellent DMM. The stand on the back of the DMM unfolds for conveniently placing your DMM in a good viewing position. It's more than I really need but I really like this DMM. It's solid, easy to read and just feels like it is excellent quality to me."

Reviews
"I bought the Fii0 D3 to connect the TV to a set of speakers and to a headphone I use when everyone else go to bed. Its a simple problem to live with because it only lasts the short time it takes to shut off and turn on the receiver box."
"Included in the package is a small yellow sheet with a disclaimer indicating that the device does not decode Dolby Digital. Since Dolby Sound is extensively used in television programing, including commercials and old sitcoms, it is probably not the best product for this particular purpose."
"The device works great and solved my issue of converting the Playstation 3's optical output to analog."
"I recently bought a new flat screen Panasonic TV and was surprised to find that the only audio output was optical/digital, no longer the red/white RCA analog jacks that I have been using to feed my external speakers."
"I am by no means an audophile, but this little buddy helped me distinguish between 24 bit FLAC audio and 320 kbit MP3s."
"I bought this digital/analog audio converter as a gift for my brother, because he had just splurged on a high-end 55 inch LG TV but only had a 10 year old but good quality stereo-only amp to use for expanded audio."
"I moved to a new place with Google Fiber TV recently and neither the TV box nor the TV has analog outputs, so I had no way of using my Sennheiser wireless headphones."
"Why these high end televisions have deleted the simple audio out jack/plug for headphones is beyond me."

"They prevent current flow from one direction and allow it from the other."
"Great deal."
"They are diodes."
"Worked great for my automotive fan circuit, allowing the ac compressor solenoid to power the fan switch but preventing the temp switch from back-flowing and operating the solenoid."
"99 of them worked as expected, the last one I can't verify because I dropped it in my shag carpet and can't find it... Shame..."
"Very good price for high quality diodes."
"Absolutely perfect!!"
"They're diodes, they work, only needed 3 but it was cheaper to buy the 100 pack here than to buy 3 anywhere else."

BOB - Screen Time Manager - Manage Your TV Time & Video Game Time
Let TV Timer BOB be the enforcer — no more “TURN OFF THAT TV!” arguments. Each child in the house (up to 6 users plus 1 parent user) has a four-digit PIN that they enter before they can turn on the attached device. (Up to five blocks per user for any or all days of the week. Quickly add bonus time or remove time from any user without changing their regular allotment.
Reviews
"I bought Bob to replace the TV Allowance we had used for years, but was not compatible with three-prong plugs or TVs that require a trickle of power. Bob had the maddening habit of shutting DVDs off when a scene with low lighting came on or the credits rolled."
"I bought this to limit TV time for our 8 year old son who also uses the video game units way too much."
"(if you want TV time on the weekend, you'll have to limit your own TV time during the week). The problem however for us was the fan on our DLP TV (and I assume you'd have the same problem with this device if you were using it with a projector). BOB had already detected the TV was off, so it had lock itself, which means it would then alarm that the TV was on and you'd have to unlock BOB so the TV could finish its cooldown."
"I was so happy with the success of the BOB for the TV that I bought a second one for our home computer because my older daughter was spending way too much time watching her TV shows via the internet. We also occasionally experience the BOB randomly shutting off the TV or the computer in the middle of using it even though time has not been used up."
"Each one has to independently remember his user number and his password. - Time settings are lost when power is cut (interestingly, other settings are not)."
"We have not figured out why it does it so I am very displeased with this because my son has adjusted to the time he has left and then gets upset when it turns off before the time is up."
