However, I did put some Marvel's Mystery Oil on the bearing assembly (people say not to use anything that could ever be considered grease - I agree, it gums up terribly). My main reason is the last one I had ended up failing because of water rusting the little tabs that hold the small brass bearings in place for the motor."
