I scored a 325, and the questions I mostly got wrong were in the vocabulary section and because of timing, because I didn't feel like studying vocab, and because I only timed myself on a practice test once. I would go through at least 1 of each section in this book - READ THROUGH THE EXPLANATIONS OF WHAT YOU GOT WRONG. If you have the time and means, what I suggest to do is to read news editorials and opinionated articles and look up the words you don't know."
"The practice material from PR and Kaplan isn't the same level of rigor as the ETS exam, and ETS's book has a limited number of practice problems. I wish I had known about this book with more time before taking the GRE again, I probably would have also invested in some of Manhattan Prep's other study material for the quantitative section. 500+ pages of just math practice and explanations (nevermind all of the reading and essay practice in this beast of a book). -- 30-50 practice questions for EACH topic. I agree with other reviewers that ETS is still the best practice material, but this is definitely the second best book you can buy to prepare yourself."

"The fact that this is currently the highest selling GRE test-prep book on Amazon tells me that GRE test-takers don't always know what they are doing, and perhaps that they don't realize that the 6 tests (5 online CATs and 1 in the book) are not real GREs. **Kaplan: “GRE Premier 2017 is a comprehensive prep system that includes…”. **Reality: This book is quite full of information, yes, but it is clearly not comprehensive because it doesn’t include any official GRE test questions. That’s right: there are exactly ZERO real GRE questions in this book, despite the fact that there are nearly 1,000 real questions available to test-takers, straight from the test maker, through the free GRE Powerprep Software (google "GRE Revised General Test: POWERPREP II Software" to find and download this software) and the Official GRE Super Power Pack: Official GRE Super Power Pack So how could this book ever be honestly marketed as “comprehensive?” I understand that there are copyright issues involved, but the least Kaplan could do is to mention that these official GRE materials exist—otherwise it is doing its students and clients a disservice by making them feel fully prepared for the GRE, when they in fact are not. They are just like the questions on the real GRE, because these books are written by the test-maker and use actual GRE questions. TWO MAIN REASONS WHY I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS BOOK: 1) Kaplan is not horrible; it's just OK. "So, go ahead and buy another book on studying for the PMP exam, but if that book covers any topic(s) that are NOT in THIS BOOK, you are learning content that is irrelevant for this exam. I bought Joseph Phillips study guide, and although it was helpful, there were many terms and content items NOT in the PMBOK guide, and therefore I did not get any questions on the real exam related to those terms/topics. Also, I took 5 practice exams from 3 different sources (one was from the Joseph Phillips CD) which turned out to give me false confidence because the real exam was a LOT harder. I recommend memorizing the 47 processes and being able to write them down in the chart before you take the exam."
