Reviews
"I'm giving the Kindle Smithsonian only two stars, but not because of the content, which is generally outstanding, nor because of the format, which is also excellent, but because of its delivery schedule. First, Smithsonian actually replied to this comment in a very professional and positive manner and explained that this was a mulitple problem error that they have now discovered and fixed. Thirdly, with regard to content, Smithsonian is my favorite Kindle magazine."

"Oh my God it took forever to get the first issue."
"This magazine will tickle your imagination and you can read it without being a genius."
"Keep this in the bathroom for reading material while I'm doing my thing."
"On the phone now for over 30 minutes to cancel the subscription that auto-renewed with NO promised email notice."
"This magazine was very thin and contained 4 full page ads for tobacco and 6 or so pages at the back for products."
"the magazine was very thin, paper stock thin as well, so many ads that it was difficult to find any content to say nothing of any content of scientific interest."
"I called customer service, which was a hassle in itself, and they said there was nothing they could do but that it shouldn't renew until closer to the subscription expiring, which they could see in their system was not for six months."

Fantasy & Science Fiction
Amazon is thrilled to offer Kindle fantasy and science-fiction fans the magazine that Stephen King calls "the best fiction magazine in America."
Reviews
"On newsstands and on Kindle, there are 3 major magazines devoted to short works (from short stories to novellas) in science fiction: "Analog Science Fiction and Fact", "Asimov's" and "The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction" (F&SF; here I mean the Extended version on Kindle - the free edition just contains the non-fiction parts of the magazine and is more or less a teaser for the Extended version). Analog and Asimov's (both published by Dell Magazines) tend to publish science fiction that involves spaceships, aliens, robots and the like. F&SF prints stories that are more literary, sort of like a normal short story with an element of science fiction / fantasy (sometimes described as "New Wave" science fiction to distinguish it from the subject matter of the "pulps" from the mid 20th century). Actually, I like "spaceship" science fiction, but I subscribe to F&SF and only purchase Asimov's if that month's issue sounds promising. Analog has a reputation of having the most science-based SF stories, even including a "Brass Tacks" section where readers can discuss what they think are factual errors that appeared in the stories (or in the one-per-issue science fact article)."
"Thought provoking stories."
"Hands down the best of the bunch."
"I was looking for a bunch of fun short stories."
"I have known about this periodical for years but hadn't bought my own."
"Knowing that this beauty is on the way every other month makes me feel like I'm 13 years old all over again - lost in imagination and eagerly awaiting the next issue!"
"I dislike that when the new issue downloads it removes the previous, and after going through the Manage My Kindle instructions, find that I have to redeliver the previous issues manually in order to finish them off."
"I have to agree with other reviews."
