Find Best Price at Amazon"Well immediately I noticed the plastic tap handle that comes with the unit was not properly attached and pops right off with no exertion. This part of the unit now works properly as intended and no longer requires me to lean on it with all my might, it slides back and forth with normal pressure. In order to maintain a consistent level of carbonation one has to monitor the gauge after each pour. So just keep in mind, if you are seeking 5-10 psi and you just filled the keg, that the amount of turn on the CO2 bit doesn't need to be that much. Lastly, and this is sort of the thing that really made me question the QA of the company, was in February I was out of CO2. So just the other night when I got a chance to refill the growler for the first time since February I put a new CO2 cartridge in...it doesn't fit (picture attached). This, to me, is the most unacceptable part of the entire thing and solidifies my belief that the product is suffering from it's own poor quality checks."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I came to home brewing when I was bored and looked up hobbies I can take up, and slowly got more and more interested. For 50 dollars, you get a fermenter, bottles, two hopped malt extract, yeast, and no-rinse cleansing solution. Almost everything you need is included, minus a large pot (enough to hold 4 cups of water), metal spoon, can opener, and a silicone spatula. The instruction manual is not clear, but Mr. BEER has a Youtube video explaining step-by-step on how to sanitize, brew, and pitch the yeast. Mr. BEER also gives you daily email (if you register) on subjects like sanitizing, science behind yeast and fermentation, and other useful information. Then you boil 4 cups of water, add the hopped malt extract and stir until dissolved. Quality of the Ingredients/ Yeast. As I learn more about specialty hop, adding hops at different times, and other brewing techniques required for home crafted beer, I find that just pouring a liquid extract to boiling water is very limited and restrictive. Because how the lid is positioned, I do not believe a lot of oxygen gets in during the fermentation process, but the air notches are crude nonetheless. As I read more, and watch more videos, I am itching to get a standard kit (5 gallon carboy, siphon, airlocks, etc.). --------------------------------------------UPDATE 12/07/2014------------------------------------------------. Beer taste: Wow, so I brewed the Aztec Cerveza and I am enjoying a glass right now, watching the 49ers v Raiders game. I thought about getting a 5 gallon, standard kit, but I am going to stick with Mr. Beer (I have changed my mind). It is simplistic, takes minimum equipment, I can brew multiple batches at one time, and the end result is outstanding."
