"Timers are clear (minutes only, not seconds), has a nice little bell ping when it's done, which is nicer than a digital beep to me. --If you take your food out while there is time left on the timer, when you shut the door it will resume running. --It does slide on the counter unless you open it carefully; however, this is easily remedied by putting anti-skid material underneath the 4 feet of the microwave (i used 4 little pieces of the anti-skid rubber material you put under throw rugs). (Note: I bought mine from Amazon seller HPP Enterprises)."
"At this time my solar system consists of 4 100 watt solar panels, a 40 amp mppt charge control, 4 105 amp hr deep cycle batteries wired in series and a 48 volt 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter. The inverter powers my 4.4 cubic ft compact refrigerator, 32 inch flat screen TV and laptop quite nicely. Using a microwave with digital controls would tend to keep the inverter powered up all the time unless it was unplugged after each use. As a Prime member I ordered on a Thursday afternoon and received the microwave on Saturday morning. Curious as to how it would work I heated room temperature water for a cup of coffee in about 2 minutes."

"1.6 cuft Inverter Microwave. Reasons Why I Chose this Microwave: attractive design, inverter cooking, less than $150 on sale, Toshiba microwave reputation (they were the first in Japan!). Things I like: It is attractive, the glass turn table is quality, it has an inverter which seems to work well, it's very quiet compared to my old microwave, it's powerful - cooking 25% to 30% faster than my old 1000w unit, the microwave shielding is very effective as it doesn't affect my WIFI or my TV antenna reception like the old microwave did, it cooks MUCH more evenly than my old unit. Things I don't care for: Interior panels feel cheap - the metal is very thin and has no sound deadening, I greatly prefer mechanical buttons to a touch panel display, the unit is too light - it can move slide forward when you pull the door handle if it's on a smooth surface, the numbers of the clock are partially blocked if you look down from above due to how it's positioned within the display (not a big deal, but tall folks will probably notice this). I also added some sound deadening to the flimsy panels that make up the interior and lastly the cover shell... made the unit much quieter and gives all the panels a more premium "thud" noise. Four Stars is my final rating - it looks nice and microwaves well, but there are a few quality shortcomings that don't fully offset the low cost of the unit's premium inverter technology."
"Finally stumbled across this one, with Toshiba even providing a comparison chart that showed this model actually allows you to easily and semi permanently disable ALL beeps (even button pressing beeps) with a single button push (hold down the # 8 key for 5 seconds and that's it!). microwaves and see how many are looking for this) that hate the 5 beeps which we must endure countless times a day. Thank you Toshiba for coming up with beep controllable model this at such a reasonable price."

"Put in a plate of cold food, press Sensor Reheat, and no matter the quantity of food it will heat it up the right amount of time to get the right temperature. Some other microwaves have a Reheat button, without a sensor, but just gives a set amount o time, which is useless. Reheat used to mean it had a sensor, but apparently now you have to look for the word Sensor. You have to press a number 1 through 12 after pressing the Sensor Cook button, for different kinds of food, as listed in the manual. I have gotten used over the years to press 11, 22, 33 seconds and so on, fine tuning the amount of time while minimizing the button presses."

There is another one of these units in the hospital cafeteria where it is subjected to the general public abuse of countless patient visitors and hospital staff who don't give a damn about another's property. At least in a commercial restaurant, the employees are trained and motivated by the owner not to abuse the equipment. The manufacturing label on the two units indicate they are made in Thailand, not China."
"Instead of a push-button control panel whose buttons will inevitably crack or get desensitized, you have an "infinite rotation" wheel that is solidly attached; and because it's not calibrated physically it won't get out of alignment. I was surprised at how well this works in practice -- food consistently requires less stirring and has less temperature variation after heating than with any other microwave I've ever owned or used. If you'd like to use variable temperatures or auto-cook, or presets for popcorn, or have another clock or timer, or have something that's also a convection oven, or do anything other than heating food or food-like stuff in an intuitive and foolproof way, look elsewhere."
"The two downsides are that this version only has stainless on the front panel, the sides are painted grey, and since they show in my kichen it is ugly, but I did remove the stainless housing from my old oven and switched with the grey, it fit perfectly and once I figured out how it was held on it was quite easy to replace. Aside from my two gripes the oven works great, I love the small size, it fits well in the corner, and hopefully will last 11 years like the other one."
