The side mounted pull-down bars do not bind against anything, and the main frame is pretty heavy powder coated metal. It came with the necessary 4 mounting screws (you'll have to provide your own wallboard anchors), and installation was straight forward. The Crush stroke does NOT go all the way to 180 degrees - rather just about 135 degrees - to full crush. There is a cutout in the bottom tray that is supposed to accommodate beer bottles - but mine failed to catch the underside of the beer cap. See Photos. Overall - I did not buy this to open beer bottles, but rather to crush soda cans, and for that, this is one of the best."

"We have an induction cooktop and while that is very easy to clean the grease off of, the splatter is also easily visible. So I can tell you that there was a fair amount of splatter on the cooktop when the wife was done pan frying some Chinese dumplings (or yaki mandu in our somewhat Korean household). Perhaps she will go for it first because of one or more of its other features like the high quality mesh, heat protecting handle, non-rusting (time will tell) stainless steel, lifetime warranty, the dishwasher safe feature or the little legs to keep the greasy mesh off your surface. And regarding those little legs (the bumps in the handle part that goes across the mesh), I looked at some of the pictures some reviewers are posting and I think some are using it upside down. So when it is all said and done, I give it 5 stars for features and build quality but I have to knock off 2 stars for the final grade due to not meeting the somewhat high expectations based on manufacturer and Amazon reviewer claims for the price paid which was $1.50 off with a Prime deal. If you need a splatter screen because you don't already have one or you need to replace one, then I would recommend this one based on features and quality and possible effectiveness."
