Reviews
"The digital subscriptions and authentication to access this content happens directly on the Economist's servers, so features served from the Economist's servers are easily matched and delivered to subscribers. But without it The Economist has no way of knowing who is subscribing through Amazon, so they cannot offer the digital features to kindle subscribers. This is how it SHOULD work (listen up Amazon): 1) You pay for the Kindle subscription. 2) You then sign up with a free account at Economist.com that doesn't have any subscription rights to it (yet). 3) You add your amazon info to your Economist user account. 4) The Economist's server pings the Amazon server, and the Amazon server says "Yup, this guy is definitely a paying subscriber, and he is paid up through XX/XX/XXXX". 5)You get the Kindle subscription every week, plus the ability to log in to the Economist.com with a newly subscriber-enhanced user account. The Economist would LOVE to give Kindle subscribers digital access, but there's no practical way to do this because Amazon refuses to implement APIs to make Step 4 possible."
"My hectic work schedule doesn't allow me the leisure to read each and every issue cover to cover, so this option is perfect for me."
"Very informative of the global economy."
"I will say it's annoying that the Kindle edition cost has not come down yet, but the convenience of having on the Kindle is worth it to me. If you read it for a while you might realize we are not the only country on the planet, and there is something to learn beyond our own definitions of Liberal or Conservative."
"As a longtime subscriber of The Economist, I was quite enthusiastic at the opportunity to subscribe via Kindle: on time delivery, no more bypassing the magazine at airports and shops because I knew mine would be waiting at home, no more wrinkled torn copies from the Post Office, the ease and convenience of Kindle downloads."

"CANSLIM has a strict set of rules, starting with finding stocks with good fundamentals, then "buying right", then selling right. But the rules are good and the paper and online resources will help you find the stocks that meet them. Some of the fundamental CANSLIM rules you probably violate all the time... 1) NEVER buy a stock when the market is in a correction. 2) NEVER average down on a losing stock (but do average up properly on a winning stock). 3) NEVER let your loss exceed 7-8%. 4) Buy right (good fundamentals first, then proper chart pattern and breakout). 5) NEVER hold too many stocks, you can't keep up with them and there are only so many great stocks (if your stock is not proving to be at least good shortly after the proper buy point, then sell it and wait for another opportunity or invest proceeds in a better stock you own (at proper add on point))."
"what I hated is the freaking adds every time you wan to view a video.. you would think that IBD will take those adds out for paying customer and live those in for non subscribers."
"It is not smoke and mirrors, but based on a very nice and established mix of fundamentals (let's not forget that stocks are companies), technical momentum and institutional sponsorship. IBD does not claim to predict the future, but keeps you in touch with the market and literally gives you buy points and data that support whether to invest in a company and when. IBD needs to realize that it's not only gray hairs firing up their DOS 386 computers that are interested accessing their information, but increasingly its young and middle age people that have DECADES to invest."
"However, just this year she will no longer be getting the printed copy as they are discontinuing the print editions that she has relied upon for years."
"I have had IBD for a number of years but am cancelling my subscription."
"Probably won't re-subscribe as there just isn't that much useful information for me that I can't find other places unless I want to pay $699 for Leaderboard or $999 for Marketsmith."

Best International Business Magazines

Foreign Affairs Print Magazine
The preeminent journal of foreign policy and international affairs, has provided government and business leaders, students, and the general public with insightful, thought-provoking analysis on world events for over 80 years.
Reviews
"The Kindle edition is reformatted specifically for reading on a Kindle. Kindle's "go to page" page number doesn't line up with the page numbers in the PDF so navigation isn't straightforward. It is quite tedious to read a PDF format book or magazine on kindle unless you are comfortable with very small letters and prefer to flip through the entire magazine page by page. The output it produces for kindle is, in some ways, superior to reading the PDF version on kindle, in that it does try to take advantage of the kindle navigation features for periodicals, but it isn't nearly as good as the Kindle edition offered on Amazon. The only reason I didn't give the Kindle edition 5 stars is that subscribers view Foreign Affairs as one magazine, not two, and Foreign Affairs should offer subscribers an option to add the Kindle edition onto their digital online subscription at a reduced package rate."
"Good reading in international affairs."
"The articles are good documented, offer important information that help transmit the knowledge to others."
"Foreign Affairs is a world class source of information on international relations and, well, foreign affairs."
"But it is not yet on the Kindle. Given that I can access the content of Foreign Affairs through other sources, the only reason for me to pay for this subscription is to get the Kindle format."
"I can't figure out how to email an article to a friend or colleague, and worst of all: I heard about the cover story of the May 1 issue from Rachel Maddow on MSNBC."
"I have contacted customer service at both Amazon and FA magazine and both responded quickly with the fact that you do not get archive access with the Kindle (yet we pay $24 per year) which is $6 more than the student subscription, which I would gladly pay for the convenience and portability."

"Not thrilled with publication."
"As a working mother, I was looking forward to reading interesting articles that would help me maintain some semblance of order and sanity."
"Regardless of whether you are in a professional, executive or in a 'regular working mom' role (as some readers here have described), you will not find much that empowers, uplifts, inspires or helps with practical tips."
"I bought Working Mother thinking that it would be filled with great tips on time management, recipes for food kids will actually eat (and don't take all day to prepare) and fashion tips for people who shop at JCPenney, not Banana Republic or Bloomingdales."
"Instead, this magazine prints lots of articles on what other companies are doing that's great for working moms (good for them, what does that help me?)."
