"He and his brother have just started taking guitar and bass lessons. I bought the 3 pack, one for my nephew with the new bent up Squire, one for my nephew who just received a new Yamaha bass I bought for him on Amazon and one for me to hold up an acoustic bass guitar I keep in my office for practice. I've been playing for 50 years and there is nothing worse than being at a gig and seeing your instrument get knocked by some drunk who wants to tell you how great you guys sound, but because my instrument was in the stand, it didn't end up laying on the ground."
"My only complaint is that I was expecting the bottom wishbone-shaped supporting rods to lock in place."
"This is a nice three pack for the price."
"However, the product did not have any package support and was very loose in the outside mailing carton."
"My guitar only sits on the stand in my room, so i don't know how easy it is to travel with the stand."
"I put my guitar on it, and pushed it (while holding it) and compared the two, and this one definitely doesn't put up much resistance at all. I have some fairly nice guitars, but even if I just had a basic guitar I probably wouldn't try to save the $8 and put it on this stand. The "FretRest" from Guitar Center is on the right in all the pictures."
"It’s just an annoying slap in the face from a company that typically provides good quality, affordable accessories."
"The shaft shouldn't have been as loose as it was, so I wanted to tighten it until I felt comfortable that it would support my guitar neck."

"I have been fortunate to build a small, but decent collection of acoustic and electric guitars in a room dedicated to music."
"I originally bought one, the a second one (I simply clicked the 'buy again' button) but the color of the second oak hanger is noticeably darker."
"This one has a different hook and spacer on it than my others but it looks like a better one the only complaint I have about it is that this new style hook has such a long thread that when you screw it tight it sticks a tiny bit out the back of it and if you accidentally put the spacer on backwards it will screw ¼" out the back and into your wall."
"I also had to pre-drill a small hole in my wall for the center bolt that holds the guitar since when it was tightened all the way the bolt poked through the back of the wood piece and prevented it from sitting flush with the wall."
""Natural" fits, but I would have ordered something else if I'd known that it's so much lighter than oak (attached photo is taken against an oak rocking chair seat)."
"I have been keeping my guitars in floor stands or in their cases but it takes up much needed space and just creates clutter...not that a guitar should EVER be considered clutter. The GREAT thing about these is that your guitar(s) are always "right there" and you can choose whichever one you have a hankering to play at that moment."
"The felt-like material covering the hooks doesn't look like it will degrade over the years, so I'm happy about that."
"The install kit was very easy to use and the plastic wall anchors included weren't the cheap ones that break easily."

"Nitrocellulose is typically found on more expensive guitars (I don't even think Gibson and Fender use it much nowadays, except perhaps in their custom shop models, but if you can pay $3,000 to $5,000 for a guitar, would you use an $8 stand for them?). If you're worried about this, I suppose you should skip the stand, or replace the foam with some terrycloth or felt."
"I was concerned about the warning that the rubber pads might damage a nitro cellulous lacquer finish (even though I think that is only used on expensive guitars and mine definitely does not qualify) so when I went to buy another stand earlier this year, I bought an XCG4 which is supposed to be safe for nitro cellulous lacquer finishes."
"At the time, I was worried about the lower portion that holds the base of the guitar. I didn't even go 6 feet across my room and the section that holds the neck of the guitar breaks. I've been a member of Amazon for a long time, I pretty much buy everything off here and this is the only review I've ever written."
"I bought mine to set my guitar or bass near me so I would have easy access to play when I had time. I figured I would use it for times when I was out of the house but when I put my bass on it the center of gravity was so high that a slight bump would knock it over."
"No doubt, it's easy to hold up a guitar, but it's very annoying that the bottom bar keeps sliding off. On the other stand, the U-shape guitar seat is secured on, but still shaky, and again, a bit annoying."
"Granted, I'm also fairly certain the guitar stand I received is not this one that I purchased."
"The top part broke right off, (bad weld) tips over easily with my Ibanez acoustic bass."

"My guitar only sits on the stand in my room, so i don't know how easy it is to travel with the stand."
"I've purchased many of these over the years and though they seem to be getting a little "economical" in their construction - still can't beat them for the bang for the buck."
"I like the design, but they are hard to close down to a small size for transport."
"I do have more expensive, high tech and fancier stands for my acoustic guitars, but at $10 a piece for the three pack, these come in really handy because you can leave 'em all over the place and always have a stand at the ready."
"I do not quite understand the negative reviews mentioning that this stand is unstable, I keep my Les Paul on it and it is quite stable."

":( And, it's be really nice if the company would toss in a couple of extra spacers instead of charging quite a bit for more - it just seems kind of greedy."
"You need to be careful about having the guitars not bang into each other in the stand but it does pack a lot of guitars into a small area."
"I have a full size taylor, a nylon string plug in, an electric bass, a les paul and two acoustic guitars in their cases on this stand."
"I have a good collection of guitars so I needed a guitar stand for a few and the only other option I had was thrown Guitar Center and that one was pretty much trash so I went with this one and have loved it ever since."
"In the future (considering I own 4-5 guitars that are >$500 dollars) I would spring for a more expensive stand that was built better."
"Pretty pricey but I havent found anything about its construction or performance that would prevent me from buying it again."
"Folds flat and feels more than sturdy enough for gigging, though mine's just going to sit in my living room."
"This is the second one I've owned."
