I especially love the way that the outer pocket designed for music will fit long folders and ZIP up to keep anything from falling out. For how heavy this thing can get with the equipment it can hold, the bag is pretty well balanced when carried by the shoulder strap. For those who don't know: it's not realistic to put anything other than a picc or Eb into the middle section for a total of three trumpets."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I purchased this bag in order to carry my King 1241 tuba assembled, since two-piece cases are kind of a pain. It does that job, it is extremely roomy inside and the end is big enough to fit my tuba's 22-inch bell no problem. The bag has two good-sized pockets on the front to hold the various other things one needs to take with when packing a tuba, like the mouthpiece, valve oil, music folder, etc. In the larger of the two front pockets on the case, there was a carry strap designed to snap onto the D-rings on the bag for shoulder-carry, a luggage tag and a Protec mouthpiece pouch (which was a surprise, I didn't expect to get that with this item). The plastic wrapping on the bag itself had some tears where it looked like somebody had hooked it with their fingers at some point, probably during loading or during unpacking from the supplier. In a shelf or cubby, in the back of a rental truck on the way to a band contest, or packed into the luggage area of a bus, the feet will allow the tuba to be rested on its side without having to worry about damaging it. In the middle of the floor, the tuba will roll to one side or the other when released while resting laterally on the rubberized feet. Also, the included shoulder strap is sturdy and more than sufficient to carry the weight of a tuba, but it has no padding and is not comfortable for long periods of wear."
"You better have a truly large tuba to fill this bag up. I own a B&S "Neptune" CC tuba with a 20" bell and there was still plenty of extra room in this bag, particular in terms of length."
"THE ZIPPERS, while very strong, they are slippery, meaning if you close the case where both of the zippers are on the bottom, the horn is going to FALL through the bottom. It's also extremely difficult to get the horn in the case, for some reason it opens from the bottom and side, and not the top and side."

"Schmidt which was just restored just barely fits-- it did not fit in its original case after restoration because the leadpipe ended up extending further beyond the horn-- initially I thought that was going to be a deal-breaker with this case but the end of the leadpipe does just hook into the leadpipe depression. The shoulder strap is a little awkward somehow; for several decades I have used a canvas gig bag originally sold under the Brasswind name with just a shoulder strap. One time I was going pretty fast when it happened-- caught on a rod projecting from a dumpster in a part of town with no alleys...just barely avoided going down and thought I'd injured myself and thought it miraculous that the case was undamaged, but I did discover ultimately that the outer canvas got ripped at the base of one of the shoulder straps. Have been trying to get the shoulder strap out of the way but it's not easy."
