Find Best Price at Amazon"I mentioned that those cans heated ears up before, but I did sleep with those on my head for about 4 hours this time (probably because I am too tired). When the NC is on without music playing, I can still hear people talk around 6 meters away from both cans- with Bose with less volume though. Note that the on subway train (not test on the plain) TaoTronics is less effective than Bose on canceling the humming low-frequency noises - Bose is almost clear, TaoTronics is clear on the lower part, but noticeable on the rest. Although many online reviews claim that Bose QC35 is the most comfortable high-end ANC headphones, I'd give TaoTronics a heads-up. In Conclusion, I think Taotronics can do around 60% of what the top of the line ANC Headphones do in noise canceling. With no doubt Bose QC 35 II is a superior product, I is not yet my ideal ANC headphones. With that in mind, if I have to make compromises anyway, I'd rather choose a comfortable yet budget headphone that I don't quite worry about lost or damage. Result: When I turned on the NC WITHOUT playing music, it works really well on low-frequency noises, especially the soud of fan and AC. It is a bit funny that because it canceled out part of the background noise, it makes me easier to focus on other people's talks. When I have the NC off without the music playing - this is the funny part - it works worse than those passive noise canceling headphones. The low-frequency noise is definitely louder than that under a normal over-the-ear headphone, and even a bit louder-only a tiny bit-than what I can hear by naked ear. That is a deal breaker if you want an effective noise canceling headphone -- it will work to a certain extent when you turn the ANC on without the music playing, the background noise does get canceled a bit: the normal human talking voice 6 feet away is still clearly recognizable, the volume did get reduced though. I don't understand why some other reviews said it can almost completely block engine noises and even baby screamings - probably I get a copy not as good as theirs?"
"This is my third pair of TaoTronics Active Noise Cancellation ("ANC") headphones and my first set of the over the ear version. I'm starting to think that TaoTronics is a white label manufacturer for a higher end brand. They work equally well for music (rock, chillhop, instrumental) and audiobooks. 2) Build Quality - These are built very well.THey don't feel cheap and seem like they would stand the test of time. You can answer and hang up a call, turn ANC on and off, change volume and tracks (long press), and stop and start music. I can leave them connected to my phone to listen to music and easily answer a call by pressing a button on the ear cup. The sound quality when using Bluetooth may not be quite as good as in wired mode, but it's pretty darn close. This allows them to block out (technically they add a second sound to offset the first) low level background noise."
