"I do not put too much water on the brush, and I do not wet the watercolor paper or designs before applying stencil "texture". Perhaps I might even use subtle colors of felt tip art markers over stencil designs as well - instead of paint."
"So I painted it to match my craft room and added these flowers in different colors, giving it a funky look. And when it does lie flat it is easy to get the ink or paint over the edge of one flower into the next because there is no space between some of the flowers. If you look closely you will see that most of the petals of one flower also form the next flower. For a 12 inch scrapbook page it would be great if you can be exact enough to not spill over into the flowers or empty spaces you do not want."
